1And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!” (太24:1; 路21:5)2And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” (路19:44)
Signs of the End of the Age
3And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, (太17:1; 太21:1; 可1:16; 可1:29; 可4:34)4“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” (徒1:6)5And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray. (耶29:8; 可13:9; 可13:23; 可13:33; 弗5:6; 西2:8; 帖前2:3; 约一3:7)6Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray. (耶14:14; 可13:22; 约8:24; 约一2:18)7And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. (帖后2:2; 启1:1)8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. (太28:19; 可14:9; 羅10:18; 西1:6; 西1:23)11And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. (出4:12; 民23:5; 申18:18; 太6:25; 徒4:8; 徒6:10; 徒13:9; 林前15:10; 林后13:3; 帖前2:13; 來1:1)12And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. The Abomination of Desolation
14“But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (但9:23; 但9:25; 但9:27; 但11:31; 但12:11; 启1:3)15Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out, (路5:19; 路17:31)16and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.17And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! (路23:29)18Pray that it may not happen in winter.19For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be. The Coming of the Son of Man
24“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, (赛13:10; 赛24:23; 结32:7; 珥2:10; 珥2:31; 珥3:15; 摩5:20; 摩8:9; 番1:15; 可13:19; 徒2:20; 启6:12; 启8:12)25and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. (赛14:12; 赛34:4; 启6:13)26And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. (但7:13; 太25:31; 太26:64; 可9:1)27And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. The Lesson of the Fig Tree
28“From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.29So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. (雅5:9; 启3:20)30Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. (可9:1)31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. No One Knows That Day or Hour
32“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. (亚14:7; 太25:13; 徒1:7; 腓2:6; 帖前5:1)33Be on guard, keep awake.[1] For you do not know when the time will come. (可13:5; 可14:38; 弗6:18; 來13:17)34It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants[2] in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake.
