Сыновья Исхака – Есав и Якуб

У Ибрахима родился Исхак.20Исхаку было сорок лет, когда он женился на Рабиге, дочери арамея Бетуила из Паддан-Арама[3], сестре арамея Лавана.21Исхак молил Вечного за жену, потому что она была бесплодна. Вечный ответил на его молитву, и его жена Рабига забеременела.22Дети стали толкать друг друга в её утробе, и она сказала: – За что мне это? И она пошла спросить Вечного.23И сказал ей Вечный: – Два племени в чреве твоём, два народа произойдут из тебя и разделятся; один будет сильнее другого, и старший будет служить младшему.24Когда пришло ей время родить, во чреве её действительно оказались мальчики-близнецы.25Первый родился красный, и всё его тело было покрыто как бы ворсистой одеждой; поэтому его назвали Есав («волосатый»).26Потом появился его брат, держась рукой за пятку Есава; поэтому он был назван Якуб («он держится за пятку»)[4]. Есав продаёт своё первородство

Nacimiento de Jacob y de Esaú
19Esta es la historia de Isaac, el hijo que tuvo Abraham.20Isaac tenía cuarenta años cuando se casó con Rebeca, que era hija de Betuel y hermana de Labán. Betuel y Labán eran arameos de Padán Aram.[1]21Isaac oró al SEÑOR en favor de su esposa, porque era estéril. El SEÑOR oyó su oración, y ella quedó embarazada.22Pero, como los niños luchaban dentro de su seno, ella se preguntó: «Si esto va a seguir así, ¿para qué sigo viviendo?» Entonces fue a consultar al SEÑOR,23y él le contestó: «Dos naciones hay en tu seno; dos pueblos se dividen desde tus entrañas. Uno será más fuerte que el otro, y el mayor servirá al menor».24Cuando le llegó el momento de dar a luz, resultó que en su seno había mellizos.25El primero en nacer era pelirrojo, y tenía todo el cuerpo cubierto de vello. A este lo llamaron Esaú.[2]26Luego nació su hermano, agarrado con una mano del talón de Esaú. A este lo llamaron Jacob.[3] Cuando nacieron los mellizos, Isaac tenía sesenta años.27Los niños crecieron. Esaú se lo juró, y fue así como le vendió a Jacob sus derechos de primogénito.34Jacob, por su parte, le dio a Esaú pan y guiso de lentejas. Después de comer y beber, Esaú se levantó y se fue. De esta manera menospreció sus derechos de hijo mayor.

The Birth of Esau and Jacob
19These are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham fathered Isaac, (Мф 1:2)20and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife. Esau Sells His Birthright
29Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted.30And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.[5])31Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.”32Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?”33Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. (Евр 12:16)34Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
