Всевышний заключает священное соглашение с Ибрамом
1После этого Вечный обратился к Ибраму в видении: – Не бойся, Ибрам. Я – твой щит; награда твоя будет весьма велика.2Но Ибрам сказал: – О Владыка Вечный, что Ты можешь мне дать, если я остаюсь бездетным, и моё имущество унаследует Элиезер из Дамаска?3Ибрам добавил: – Ты не дал мне детей, и слуга моего дома станет моим наследником.4В ответ было ему слово Вечного: – Он не станет твоим наследником; от семени твоего будет тебе наследник.5Вечный вывел его наружу и сказал: – Взгляни на небеса и сосчитай звёзды, если можешь их сосчитать. И сказал ему: – Так многочисленно будет твоё потомство.6Ибрам поверил Вечному, и Он вменил ему это в праведность.7Ещё Он сказал ему: – Я Вечный, Который вывел тебя из Ура Халдейского, чтобы дать тебе во владение эту землю.8Но Ибрам спросил: – О Владыка Вечный, как мне убедиться, что я буду владеть ею?9Вечный сказал ему: – Приведи Мне трёхлетнюю телицу, трёхлетнюю козу и трёхлетнего барана, а также принеси горлицу и молодого голубя.10Ибрам так и сделал. Он рассёк их пополам и разложил половины одну напротив другой; но птиц он не рассёк пополам.11Хищные птицы слетались на трупы, но Ибрам отгонял их.12Когда солнце начало садиться, Ибрама охватил глубокий сон; и тут кромешная тьма опустилась, и ужас объял его.13Вечный сказал ему: – Знай же, что твои потомки будут странниками в чужой земле; они будут обращены в рабство и будут угнетаемы четыреста лет.14Но Я накажу народ, поработивший их, и тогда они выйдут оттуда с большим имуществом.15Ты отойдёшь к отцам своим в мире и будешь погребён в глубокой старости.16В четвёртом поколении[1] твои потомки вернутся сюда, потому что грех аморреев ещё не достиг полной меры.17Когда солнце село и стало темно, вдруг появились дымящаяся жаровня с пылающим факелом и прошли между рассечёнными кусками.18В тот день Вечный заключил священное соглашение с Ибрамом и сказал: – Я отдаю твоим потомкам эту землю, от египетской реки[2] до великой реки Евфрат: (Чис 34:5; Нав 15:4)19землю кенеев, кенезеев, кедмонеев,20хеттов, перизеев, рефаитов,21аморреев, хананеев, гиргашеев и иевусеев.
1Después de esto, la palabra del SEÑOR vino a Abram en una visión: «No temas, Abram. Yo soy tu escudo, y muy grande será tu recompensa».2Pero Abram le respondió: ―SEÑOR y Dios, ¿para qué vas a darme algo, si aún sigo sin tener hijos, y el heredero[1] de mis bienes será Eliezer de Damasco?3Como no me has dado ningún hijo, mi herencia la recibirá uno de mis criados.4―¡No! Ese hombre no ha de ser tu heredero —le contestó el SEÑOR—. Tu heredero será tu propio hijo.5Luego el SEÑOR lo llevó afuera y le dijo: ―Mira hacia el cielo y cuenta las estrellas, a ver si puedes. ¡Así de numerosa será tu descendencia!6Abram creyó al SEÑOR, y el SEÑOR se lo reconoció como justicia.7Además, le dijo: ―Yo soy el SEÑOR, que te hice salir de Ur de los caldeos para darte en posesión esta tierra.8Pero Abram le preguntó: ―SEÑOR y Dios, ¿cómo sabré que voy a poseerla?9El SEÑOR le respondió: ―Tráeme una ternera, una cabra y un carnero, todos ellos de tres años, y también una tórtola y un pichón de paloma.10Abram llevó todos estos animales, los partió por la mitad y puso una mitad frente a la otra, pero no partió las aves.11Y las aves de rapiña comenzaron a lanzarse sobre los animales muertos, pero Abram las espantaba.12Al anochecer, Abram cayó en un profundo sueño, y lo envolvió una oscuridad aterradora.13El SEÑOR le dijo: ―Debes saber que tus descendientes vivirán como extranjeros en tierra extraña, donde serán esclavizados y maltratados durante cuatrocientos años.14Pero yo castigaré a la nación que los esclavizará, y luego tus descendientes saldrán en libertad y con grandes riquezas.15Tú, en cambio, te reunirás en paz con tus antepasados, y te enterrarán cuando ya seas muy anciano.16Cuatro generaciones después, tus descendientes volverán a este lugar, porque antes de eso no habrá llegado al colmo la iniquidad de los amorreos.17Cuando el sol se puso y cayó la noche, aparecieron una hornilla humeante y una antorcha encendida, las cuales pasaban entre los animales descuartizados.18En aquel día el SEÑOR hizo un pacto con Abram. Le dijo: ―A tus descendientes les daré esta tierra, desde el río de Egipto hasta el gran río, el Éufrates.19Me refiero a la tierra de los quenitas, los quenizitas, los cadmoneos,20los hititas, los ferezeos, los refaítas,21los amorreos, los cananeos, los gergeseos y los jebuseos.

But he did not cut the birds in half. (Лев 1:17; Иер 34:18)11And when birds of prey came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.12As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him. (Быт 2:21)13Then the Lord said to Abram, “Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years.
