1Вечный – мой свет и моё спасение: кого мне бояться? Вечный – крепость жизни моей: кого мне страшиться?2Когда злодеи пойдут на меня, чтобы плоть мою пожирать[1], когда мои враги и противники против меня ополчатся, то споткнутся они и падут.3Пусть войско меня окружит – сердце моё не дрогнет; пусть вспыхнет против меня война – и тогда я буду спокоен.4Одного я прошу у Вечного, только этого я ищу: чтобы жить мне в доме Вечного во все дни моей жизни, созерцать красоту Вечного и размышлять в Его храме.5В день беды Он даст мне приют в Своём жилище, скроет меня под пологом Своего шатра, вознесёт меня на скалу.6И тогда я восторжествую над противниками, окружающими меня, и принесу у Его шатра жертвы, крича от радости; буду петь и играть для Вечного.7Услышь, Вечный, когда я зову; помилуй меня и ответь.8Ты говоришь моему сердцу: «Ищи Моего лица!»[2] Вечный, я буду искать лица Твоего.9Не отворачивайся от меня; не отвергни в гневе Своего раба, Ты, Кто был мне помощником. Не отвергни меня, не оставь, Всевышний, мой Спаситель!10Если даже отец мой и мать оставят меня, то Вечный меня примет[3].11Научи меня, Вечный, Твоему пути, веди меня по прямой дороге из-за врагов моих.12Не отдавай меня на произвол моих противников, потому что восстали на меня лжесвидетели и злобою дышат.13Но я верю: увижу я благость Вечного на земле живых.14Надейся на Вечного, мужайся и сердце своё укрепи, надейся на Вечного!

Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.3For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.4I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.5I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.6I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.8LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:10In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.12My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
