Los reyes derrotados

1 Estos son los reyes de aquella tierra que los hijos de Israel derrotaron, y cuyo territorio conquistaron allende el Jordán, hacia el sol naciente, desde el río Arnón hasta el monte Hermón, y todo el Arabá hacia el oriente: 

2 Sehón, el rey del amorreo, que habitaba en Hesbón y dominaba desde Aroer, que está al borde del río Arnón, y desde el medio del río, o sea, la mitad de Galaad, hasta el arroyo de Jaboc, que es la frontera de los hijos de Amón. 

3 Y desde la llanura hasta el Mar de Kineret, por el oriente, y hasta el Mar del Arabá, el Mar de la Sal, por el oriente, en dirección de Bet-Hayesimot, y hacia el sur, hasta el pie de las laderas del Pisga. 

4 Y el territorio de Og rey de Basán, uno del resto de los refaítas, que habitaba en Astarot y en Edrei, 

5 y dominaba en el monte Hermón, en Salca y en todo Basán hasta la frontera del gesurita y del maaquita, y la mitad de Galaad hasta el término de Sehón rey de Hesbón. 

6 Estos fueron derrotados por Moisés, siervo de YHVH, y los hijos de Israel. Y Moisés, siervo de YHVH, entregó aquella tierra en posesión a los rubenitas, y a los gaditas, y a la media tribu de Manasés. 

7 Estos son los reyes de la tierra que Josué y los hijos de Israel derrotaron a este lado del Jordán, al occidente, desde Baal-Gad en el valle del Líbano hasta el monte de Halac, que sube a Seír. Josué la dio en posesión a las tribus de Israel según sus repartimientos: 

8 En la serranía y en la llanura, en el Arabá y en las laderas, en el desierto y en el Neguev; el heteo, el amorreo y el cananeo, el ferezeo, el heveo y el jebuseo: 

9 Uno, el rey de Jericó, otro, el rey de Hai (junto a Bet-’El), 

10 otro, el rey de Jerusalem, otro, el rey de Hebrón, 

11 otro, el rey de Jarmut, otro, el rey de Laquis, 

12 otro, el rey de Eglón, otro, el rey de Gezer, 

13 otro, el rey de Debir, otro, el rey de Geder, 

14 otro, el rey de Horma, otro, el rey de Arad, 

15 otro, el rey de Libna, otro, el rey de Adullam, 

16 otro, el rey de Maceda, otro, el rey de Bet-’El, 

17 otro, el rey de Tapúa, otro, el rey de Hefer, 

18 otro, el rey de Afec, otro, el rey del Sarón, 

19 otro, el rey de Madón, otro, el rey de Hazor, 

20 otro, el rey de Simrón-Merón, otro, el rey de Acsaf, 

21 otro, el rey de Taanac, otro, el rey de Meguido, 

22 otro, el rey de Kedes, otro, el rey de Yocneam (del Carmelo), 

23 otro, el rey de Dor (de la región de Dor), otro, el rey de Goim (en Gilgal), 

24 otro, el rey de Tirsa. Treinta y un reyes en total.

1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east: 

2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; 

3 And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah: 

4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, 

5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon. 

6 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh. 

7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions; 

8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: 

9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one; 

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one; 

11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one; 

12 The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one; 

13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one; 

14 The king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one; 

15 The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one; 

16 The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one; 

17 The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one; 

18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one; 

19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one; 

20 The king of Shimronmeron, one; the king of Achshaph, one; 

21 The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one; 

22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one; 

23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one; 

24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.
