Salmo 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Sal 32:7; Sal 121:5; Is 25:4; Is 32:2)2 I will say[1] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Sal 11:1; Sal 14:6; Sal 18:2; Sal 91:9)3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. (Sal 124:7; Sal 140:5; Sal 141:9; Pr 6:5)4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. (1 R 8:7; Sal 17:8; Sal 35:2; Sal 36:5; Sal 57:1)5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, (Job 5:19; Pr 3:23; Cnt 3:8; Is 43:1)6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.8 You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. (Sal 37:34)9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge[2] (Sal 71:3; Sal 91:2)10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. (Sal 38:11; Sal 91:5; Pr 12:21)11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Ex 23:20; Sal 34:7; Mt 4:6; Lc 4:10)12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. (Sal 37:24; Pr 3:23)13 You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. (Sal 74:13; Dn 6:23; Mr 16:18; Lc 10:19; Hch 28:5)14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. (Dt 7:7; Dt 10:15; Sal 9:10)15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. (1 S 2:30; Job 12:4; Sal 50:15; Jn 12:26)16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Dt 6:2; 1 R 3:14; Sal 21:4; Sal 50:23; Sal 118:14; Sal 118:21; Pr 3:2; Pr 3:16)
