Salme 85

Salme 85

English Standard Version

fra Crossway
1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Lord, you were favorable to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob. (Salm 14,7; Salm 42,1; Salm 77,7)2 You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. (Salm 32,1)3 You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your hot anger. (2.Mos 32,12; 5.Mos 13,17; Salm 78,38; Salm 106,23; Jonas 3,9)4 Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! (Salm 80,3)5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? (Salm 79,5)6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? (Salm 71,20; Salm 90,14; Salm 149,2)7 Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.8 Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. (Salm 49,13; Salm 50,5; Hab 2,1; Hag 2,9; Zak 9,10; 2.Pet 2,21)9 Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. (Es 46,13; Zak 2,5; Joh 1,14)10 Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. (Salm 40,11; Salm 72,3; Salm 89,14; Es 45,8)11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky.12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. (Salm 67,6; Salm 84,11; Jak 1,17)13 Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way. (Salm 89,14; Es 58,8)
