Salme 116

Halleluja!

1 I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. (Salm 18,1; Salm 66,19; Salm 118,21)2 Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. (Salm 31,2)3 The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and anguish. (Salm 18,4)4 Then I called on the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!” (Salm 18,6; Salm 118,5)5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; our God is merciful. (Ez 9,15; Neh 9,8; Salm 7,9; Salm 62,12; Salm 86,15; Salm 119,137; Salm 145,17; Jer 12,1; Dan 9,7)6 The Lord preserves the simple; when I was brought low, he saved me. (Salm 19,7; Salm 79,8; Salm 142,6)7 Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. (Salm 13,6; Jer 6,16; Matt 11,28)8 For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling; (Salm 49,15; Salm 56,13; Salm 86,13)9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. (Salm 27,13)10 I believed, even when[1] I spoke: “I am greatly afflicted”; (Salm 39,3; 2.Kor 4,13)11 I said in my alarm, “All mankind are liars.” (Salm 31,22; Salm 62,9)12 What shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits to me? (2.Krøn 32,25)13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord, (Salm 16,5; Salm 99,6; Salm 105,1)14 I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. (Salm 50,14)15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. (Salm 50,5; Salm 72,14)16 O Lord, I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant. You have loosed my bonds. (Job 12,18; Salm 86,16; Salm 113,1; Salm 119,125; Salm 143,12)17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord. (Salm 50,14; Salm 116,13)18 I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people, (Salm 116,14)19 in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!
