1 Тогава Моисей и израилтяните запяха тази песен на ГОСПОДА: Ще пея на ГОСПОДА, защото е величествен; коня и ездача му хвърли в морето. (Изх 15:1; Изх 15:22; 1 Цар 18:7) 22 Тогава Моисей вдигна израилтяните от Червеното море и излязоха към пустинята Сур; и като вървяха три дни в пустинята, не намираха вода. (Бит 16:7; Бит 25:18) 23 После дойдоха в Мера, но не можеха да пият от водата на Мера, защото беше горчива (затова бе наречена Мера[2]). (Чис 33:8) 24 Тогава народът роптаеше против Моисей: Какво да пием? (Изх 16:2; Изх 17:3) 25 А той извика към ГОСПОДА и ГОСПОД му показа дърво; и като го хвърли във водата, водата се подслади. Там Бог им даде наредби и закон и там ги изпита: (Изх 14:10; Изх 16:4; Изх 17:4; Вт 8:2; Вт 8:16; И Н 24:25; Съд 2:22; Съд 3:1; Съд 3:4; 4 Цар 2:21; 4 Цар 4:41; Пс 50:15; Пс 66:10; Пс 81:7) 26 Ако внимателно слушаш гласа на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и вършиш онова, което Му е угодно, и слушаш заповедите Му, и пазиш всичките Му наредби, няма да те поразя с нито една от болестите, с които поразих египтяните; защото Аз съм ГОСПОД, Който те изцелявам. (Изх 23:25; Вт 7:12; Вт 7:15; Вт 28:27; Вт 28:60; Пс 41:3; Пс 41:4; Пс 103:3; Пс 147:3) 27 После дойдоха в Елим, където имаше дванадесет водни извора и седемдесет палмови дървета; и там се разположиха на стан при водите. 1 Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying, “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider[1] he has thrown into the sea. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water. (Бит 16:7; Бит 25:18; 1 Цар 15:7) 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.[2] (Рут 1:20) 24 And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” (Изх 16:2; Изх 17:3) 25 And he cried to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a log,[3] and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD[4] made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them, (Изх 14:10; Изх 16:4; Изх 17:4; Вт 8:2; Вт 8:16; Съд 2:22; Съд 3:1; Съд 3:4; 4 Цар 2:21; 4 Цар 4:41; Пс 66:10) 26 saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.” (Изх 23:25; Лев 26:3; Вт 7:12; Вт 28:27; Вт 28:60; Пс 103:3; Пс 147:3; Ос 6:1) 27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.
