1 Halelujah. Chval, duše má, Hospodina. 

2 Chváliti budu Hospodina, dokud jsem živ, žalmy zpívati Bohu svému, dokud mne stává. 

3 Nedoufejtež v knížatech, v synech lidských, v nichž není vysvobození. 

4 Vychází duch jejich, navracují se do země své, v tentýž den mizejí myšlení jejich. 

5 Blahoslavený ten, jehož spomocník jest Bůh silný Jákobův, jehož naděje jest v Hospodinu Bohu jeho, 

6 Kterýž učinil nebe, zemi, moře, i vše, což v nich jest, kterýž ostříhá pravdy až na věky, 

7 Kterýž činí soud utištěným, dává chléb lačným. Hospodin vysvobozuje vězně. 

8 Hospodin otvírá oči slepých, Hospodin pozdvihuje snížených, Hospodin miluje spravedlivé. 

9 Hospodin ostříhá příchozích, sirotku a vdově pomáhá, ale cestu bezbožných podvrací. 

10 Kralovati bude Hospodin na věky, Bůh tvůj, ó Sione, od národu až do pronárodu. Halelujah.

Put Not Your Trust in Princes

1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! (Ž 135,1) 

2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Ž 63,4; Ž 104,33; Ž 145,2) 

3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. (Ž 60,11; Ž 108,12; Ž 118,8; Ž 118,9; Iz 2,22; Jr 17,5) 

4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. (Jb 10,9; Jb 34,14; Ž 104,29; Kaz 12,7) 

5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, (Ž 2,12; Ž 119,116; Ž 144,15) 

6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; (Ž 100,5; Ž 115,15; Ž 117,2) 

7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; (Ž 68,6; Ž 103,6; Ž 105,20; Ž 107,9; Ž 145,15; Iz 61,1) 

8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. (Ž 11,7; Ž 145,14; Ž 147,6; Mt 9,30; J 9,7) 

9 The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. (Ex 22,21; Ex 22,22; Dt 10,18; Ž 10,14; Ž 147,6) 

10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord! (Ž 10,16; Ž 146,1)
