1Mluvil také Hospodin k Mojžíšovi, řka:2Přikaž synům Izraelským a rci jim: Když vejdete do země Kanán, (tať jest země, kteráž se dostane vám v dědictví, země Kananejská s pomezími svými),3Strana polední vaše bude poušť Tsin vedlé pomezí Edomských; a bude vaše pomezí polední od břehu moře slaného k východu.4A zatočí se to pomezí polední k Maleakrabim, a půjde až k Tsin, a potáhne se od poledne přes Kádesbarne; a odtud vyjde ke vsi Addar, a vztáhne se až k Asmon.5Od Asmon zatočí se pomezí to vůkol až ku potoku Egyptskému, a tu se skonávati bude k západu.6Pomezí pak západní budete míti moře veliké; to bude vaše pomezí západní.7A pomezí půlnoční toto míti budete:Od moře velikého vyměříte sobě k hoře řečené Hor.8Od hory Hor vyměříte sobě, až kde se vchází do Emat, a skonávati se bude pomezí to u Sedad.9A odtud půjde pomezí to k Zefronu, a konec jeho u vsi Enan; to bude pomezí vaše k straně půlnoční.10Vyměříte sobě také pomezí k východu od vsi Enan až do Sefama.11A od Sefama schýlí se to pomezí až k Reblata, od východu maje Ain; a schýlí se pomezí to, a přijde k straně moře Ceneret k východu.12A vztáhne se to pomezí k Jordánu, a bude konec jeho u slaného moře. — Hranice zaslíbené země - Zaslíbená země je vymezena hranicemi na všech stranách. Jednotlivým kmenům ji mají rozdělit vybraní zástupci lidu.
1 Hospodin promluvil k Mojžíšovi:2 „Přikaž Izraelcům a řekni jim: Přijdete do kenaanské země, do té země, která vám připadne do dědictví, do kenaanské země vymezené těmito hranicemi:3 Jižní okraj vaší země povede od pouště Sinu podél Edómu. Na východě povede vaše jižní hranice od konce Solného moře,4 potom se vaše hranice stočí od jihu ke Svahu štírů, bude pokračovat k Sinu a na jihu bude vybíhat ke Kádeš-barneji, potáhne se na Chasar-adár a bude pokračovat k Asmónu.5 Pak se hranice stočí od Asmónu k Egyptskému potoku a bude vybíhat k moři.6 Vaší západní hranicí bude Velké moře s pobřežním územím; to bude vaše západní hranice.7 Toto pak bude vaše severní hranice: od Velkého moře si vyznačíte jako mezník horu Hór.8 Od hory Hóru si vyznačíte hranici až k cestě do Chamátu a hranice bude vybíhat k Sedadu.9 Hranice pak povede k Zifrónu a bude vybíhat k Chasar-énanu. To bude vaše severní hranice.10 Východní hranici si vyměříte od Chasar-énanu k Šefámu,11 poté sestoupí hranice od Šefámu k Rible na východ od Ajinu, pak sestupuje, až narazí na východní svah při Kineretském moři.12 Dál sestoupí hranice k Jordánu a bude vybíhat k Solnému moři. To bude vaše země, vymezená hranicemi kolem dokola.“ 13 Mojžíš tedy vydal Izraelcům takovýto rozkaz: „Toto je země, kterou dostanete losem do dědictví. Hospodin přikázal dát ji devíti a půl pokolením.14 Pokolení Rúbenovců a pokolení Gádovců již přijala svá dědictví pro svoje otcovské rody; i polovina pokolení Manasesova přijala dědictví.15 Dvě a půl pokolení přijala svá dědictví v Zajordání, na východ od Jericha, k východu slunce.“ 16 Hospodin promluvil k Mojžíšovi:17 „Toto jsou jména mužů, kteří za vás převezmou zemi do dědictví: kněz Eleazar a Jozue, syn Núnův.18 K převzetí země do dědictví přiberete po jednom předáku z každého pokolení.19 Toto jsou jména těch mužů: za Judovo pokolení Káleb, syn Jefunův,20 za pokolení Šimeónovců Šemúel, syn Amíhudův,21 za Benjamínovo pokolení Elídad, syn Kislónův,22 za pokolení Danovců předák Bukí, syn Joglíův,23 za Josefovce z pokolení Manasesovců předák Chaníel, syn Efódův,24 z pokolení Efrajimovců předák Kemúel, syn Šiftánův,25 za pokolení Zabulónovců předák Elísáfan, syn Parnakův,26 za pokolení Isacharovců předák Paltíel, syn Azanův,27 za pokolení Ašerovců předák Achíhúd, syn Šelomíův,28 za pokolení Neftalíovců předák Pedahél, syn Amíhudův.“29 To jsou ti, kterým přikázal Hospodin, aby Izraelcům přidělili dědictví v kenaanské zemi.
