A budou to míti synové Izraelští i příchozí, kterýž jest pohostinu u prostřed nich, za ustanovení věčné.11Kdo by se dotkl těla kteréhokoli mrtvého člověka, nečistý bude za sedm dní.12Takový očišťovati se bude tou vodou dne třetího a dne sedmého, i bude čistý; neočistí-li se pak dne třetího a dne sedmého, nebudeť čistý.13Kdo by koli, dotkna se těla mrtvého člověka, kterýž umřel, neočistil se, příbytku Hospodinova poškvrnil. Protož vyhlazena bude duše ta z Izraele, nebo vodou očišťování není pokropen; nečistýť bude, a nečistota jeho zůstává na něm.14Tento jest také zákon, kdyby člověk umřel v stanu: Kdo by koli všel do toho stanu, a kdo by koli byl v stanu, nečistý bude za sedm dní.15Tolikéž všeliká nádoba odkrytá, kteráž by neměla svrchu přikryvadla na sobě, nečistá bude.16Tak kdož by se koli dotkl na poli buď mečem zabitého, aneb mrtvého, buďto kosti člověka, aneb hrobu, nečistý bude za sedm dní.17A vezmou pro nečistého popela z spálené za hřích, a nalejí na něj vody živé do nádoby.18Potom vezme člověk čistý yzopu, a omočí jej v té vodě, a pokropí stanu, i všeho nádobí i lidí, kteříž by tu byli, tolikéž toho, kterýž dotkl se kosti, aneb zabitého, aneb mrtvého, aneb hrobu.19Pokropí tedy čistý nečistého v den třetí a v den sedmý; a když jej očistí dne sedmého, zpéře šaty své, a umyje se vodou, a čistý bude u večer.20Jestliže by pak kdo nečistý jsa, neočistil se, vyhlazena bude duše ta z prostředku shromáždění; nebo svatyně Hospodinovy poškvrnil, vodou očišťování nejsa pokropen; nečistý jest.21I bude jim to za ustanovení věčné. 1 Hospodin promluvil k Mojžíšovi a Áronovi:2 „Toto je nařízení zákona, které přikázal Hospodin: Mluv k Izraelcům, ať k tobě přivedou červenohnědou krávu bez vady a bez poskvrny, na niž dosud nebylo vloženo jho.3 Předáte ji knězi Eleazarovi; ten ji vyvede ven z tábora a za jeho přítomnosti bude poražena.4 Kněz Eleazar potom nabere na prst trochu její krve a sedmkrát stříkne krví směrem ke stanu setkávání.5 Kráva pak před jeho očima bude spálena; spálí se její kůže i maso a krev včetně výmětů.6 Potom vezme kněz cedrové dřevo s yzopem a karmínovým barvivem a hodí je na spalovanou krávu.7 Až si kněz vypere roucha a omyje se celý vodou, může vejít do tábora, ale bude nečistý až do večera.8 I ten, kdo ji spaluje, vypere si ve vodě roucha, celý se omyje vodou a bude nečistý až do večera.9 Někdo čistý sebere popel ze spálené krávy a uloží jej na čisté místo venku za táborem. Tam se bude uchovávat pro pospolitost Izraelců, pro přípravu očistné vody k očišťování od hříchu.10 I ten, kdo sebere popel z krávy, vypere si roucha a bude nečistý až do večera. To bude provždy platné nařízení pro Izraelce i pro hosta, který pobývá mezi nimi:11 Kdo by se dotkl kteréhokoli mrtvého člověka, bude nečistý po sedm dní.12 Třetího a sedmého dne se bude tou vodou očišťovat od hříchu a bude čistý. Jestliže se však nebude očišťovat od hříchu třetího a sedmého dne, nebude čistý.13 Každý, kdo by se dotkl mrtvého, člověka, který zemřel, a neočistil by se od hříchu, poskvrní Hospodinův příbytek. Takový bude z Izraele vyobcován, neboť nebyl pokropen očistnou vodou; je nečistý, jeho nečistota na něm zůstává lpět. 14 Toto je řád: Když někdo zemře ve stanu, každý, kdo do toho stanu vstoupí, a každý, kdo v tom stanu je, bude nečistý po sedm dní.15 Také každá otevřená nádoba, pokud na ní není přivázána poklice, bude nečistá.16 Každý, kdo se na poli dotkne skoleného mečem nebo mrtvého anebo lidských kostí či hrobu, bude nečistý po sedm dní.17 Pro nečistého vezmou trochu prachu z krávy spálené k očišťování od hříchu a na něj se do nádoby nalije čerstvá voda.18 Někdo čistý vezme yzop, smočí v té vodě a stříkne na stan, na všechno nádobí i na všechny lidi, kteří tam jsou, i na toho, kdo se dotkl kostí nebo skoleného anebo mrtvého či hrobu.19 Třetího a sedmého dne stříkne čistý na nečistého, a tak jej očistí sedmého dne od hříchu. Ten si vypere roucho, omyje se vodou a večer bude čistý.20 Když se někdo znečistí a od hříchu se neočistí, bude vyobcován ze shromáždění, neboť poskvrnil Hospodinovu svatyni; nebyl pokropen očistnou vodou, je nečistý.21 To jim bude provždy platné nařízení. Ten, kdo bude stříkat očistnou vodou, vypere si roucha, a kdo se dotkne očistné vody, bude nečistý až do večera.22 Také vše, čeho se dotkne nečistý, bude nečisté, i člověk, který se ho dotkne, bude nečistý až do večera.“

Stejně tak postříká toho, kdo se dotkl kostí nebo zabitého nebo zemřelého nebo hrobu.19Třetího a sedmého dne postříká čistý nečistého, a tak jej sedmého dne očistí. Dotyčný pak vypere svůj oděv, omyje se vodou, a večer bude čistý.20Kdo by však byl nečistý a neočistil se, takový bude vyobcován ze shromáždění, neboť poskvrnil Hospodinovu svatyni.
