A Levítové desátky ty vybírati budou po všech městech, v nichž pracovati budeme.38Bude pak při tom kněz, syn Aronův, s Levíty, když Levítové ty desátky vyberou, a Levítové sami vnesou desátek z desátků do domu Boha našeho, do pokojů v domě skladu.39Nebo do těch pokojů donášeti budou synové Izraelští i synové Léví oběti obilé, mstu a oleje nového, (kdež jsou nádoby svatyně), i kněží přisluhující, vrátní i zpěváci, abychom neopouštěli domu Boha svého.

Přicházeli a přísežně se zaklínali, že budou žít podle Božího zákona, který byl vydán skrze Božího služebníka Mojžíše, a že budou zachovávat a plnit všechna přikázání Hospodina, našeho Pána, jeho práva a jeho nařízení.31 Prohlásili: „Nebudeme dávat své dcery národům země a jejich dcery nebudeme brát pro své syny.32 Když budou přinášet národy země v den odpočinku k prodeji různé zboží a obilí, v den odpočinku, totiž ve svatý den, je od nich nebudeme brát. Sedmého léta necháme pole ladem a nebudeme vymáhat dluhy.33 Budeme se podřizovat příkazům o odevzdávání třetiny šekelu ročně pro službu v domě našeho Boha,34 na předkladné chleby, na pravidelný obětní dar, na pravidelnou oběť zápalnou ve dnech odpočinku a o novoluních, na slavnosti, na svaté dávky, na smírčí oběti za hřích za Izraele, vůbec na všechno dílo domu našeho Boha.35 Losem jsme rozvrhli dodávky dříví mezi kněze, levity a lid, jak je mají přinášet do domu našeho Boha podle našich otcovských rodů ve stanovené časy rok co rok, aby bylo zapalováno na oltáři Hospodina, našeho Boha, jak je psáno v Zákoně.36 Také budeme přinášet prvotiny ze svých rolí a prvotiny všeho ovoce z každého stromu rok co rok do Hospodinova domu.37 I prvorozené ze svých synů a ze svého dobytka, jak je psáno v Zákoně, prvorozené ze svého skotu a bravu, budeme přinášet do domu svého Boha kněžím, kteří konají službu v domě našeho Boha.38 Také první část z obilní tluče, z našich obětních dávek, z ovoce každého stromu, z moštu a z čerstvého oleje budeme přinášet kněžím do komor při domě našeho Boha a desátky z naší půdy budeme odvádět levitům; levité sami ať vybírají desátky ve všech městech, která s námi slouží Hospodinu.39 Kněz z rodu Áronova bude s levity, když budou vybírat desátky. Levité předají desátý díl z desátků do domu našeho Boha, do komor ve skladišti.40 Do těch komor totiž budou přinášet Izraelci i levitští příslušníci obětní dávky z obilí, z moštu a z čerstvého oleje. Tam je nádobí svatyně i kněží konající službu i vrátní a zpěváci. Dům svého Boha neopustíme.“

Slibovali, že budou dodržovat a plnit všechna přikázání Hospodina, našeho Pána, i jeho zákony a pravidla:31„Nebudeme vdávat své dcery do cizích národů a s jejich dcerami nebudeme ženit své syny.32Když k nám z okolních národů přivezou zboží nebo obilí, aby je prodávali v den odpočinku, nebudeme je kupovat v sobotu ani ve svátek. Sedmého roku ustaneme a zrušíme každý dluh.33Zavazujeme se odevzdávat třetinu šekelu[1] ročně na dílo Božího domu:34na chleby předložení, na pravidelné oběti moučné i zápalné o sobotách, novoluních a slavnostech, na svaté dary, na smírčí oběti za hřích Izraele a na veškeré dílo při domě našeho Boha.35Dávky dřeva pro chrám našeho Boha si rozdělujeme losem. Kněží, levité i lid je budou přinášet každoročně podle svých otcovských rodů v určený čas, aby na oltáři Hospodina, našeho Boha, plál oheň, jak je psáno v Zákoně.[2]36Zavazujeme se každoročně přinášet do Hospodinova domu své prvotiny z půdy a z veškerého ovoce všech stromů.37Jak je psáno v Zákoně, budeme přinášet prvorozené ze svých synů i ze svého dobytka, ze svého skotu i bravu do domu našeho Boha ke kněžím sloužícím v jeho domě.[3]38Prvotiny ze svého těsta a ze svých obětních příspěvků, z ovoce všech stromů, z vína i oleje budeme přinášet kněžím do komor v domě našeho Boha. Levitům budeme přinášet desátek ze svých pozemků a oni budou vybírat desátky ve všech městech, kde pracujeme.39Při vybírání desátků s nimi bude kněz, syn Áronův, a levité pak přinesou desátek z desátků do domu našeho Boha, do komor ve skladu.40Synové Izraele včetně synů Leviho budou přinášet tyto obětní příspěvky z obilí, vína a oleje do komor, kde je uloženo náčiní svatyně a kde jsou i sloužící kněží, strážní a zpěváci. Dům svého Boha nebudeme zanedbávat.“

Jede Familie soll es jährlich zu der für sie bestimmten Zeit zum Haus unseres Gottes bringen. Es soll auf dem Altar des HERRN, unseres Gottes, brennen, wie es in der Weisung vorgeschrieben ist. (Lv 6,5; Neh 13,31)36Ferner bringen wir jährlich zum Haus des HERRN die ersten Erträge unserer Felder und die ersten Erträge aller Baumfrüchte, (Nu 18,12)37unsere erstgeborenen Söhne und die ersten Jungen unseres Viehs, wie es in der Weisung vorgeschrieben ist. Die ersten Jungen unserer Rinder und Schafe bringen wir zum Haus unseres Gottes für die Priester, die im Haus unseres Gottes Dienst tun. (Ex 13,2)38Den Erstanteil von unserem Brotteig, unsere Abgaben, Früchte aller Bäume sowie Wein und Öl bringen wir für die Priester in die Kammern des Hauses unseres Gottes. Den Leviten geben wir den Zehnten vom Ertrag unseres Bodens. Die Leviten selbst erheben den Zehnten an allen Orten, wo wir das Feld bebauen. (Nu 15,20; Nu 18,26; Dt 14,22)39Wenn die Leviten den Zehnten erheben, soll ein Priester, ein Nachkomme Aarons, die Leviten begleiten. Die Leviten bringen dann den Zehnten vom Zehnten zum Haus unseres Gottes in die Vorratskammern. -40In diese Kammern nämlich bringen die Israeliten und die Leviten die Abgaben an Getreide, Wein und Öl. Dort sind die Vorratsbehälter des Heiligtums, der Priester, die Dienst tun, der Torwächter und Sänger. - So werden wir das Haus unseres Gottes nicht im Stich lassen. (Jr 40,10)

The Obligations of the Covenant
28“The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding, (Ezd 2,36; Neh 9,2)29join with their brothers, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes. (Dt 29,12; Dt 29,14; 2Kr 23,3; 2Pa 34,31; Neh 5,12; Ž 119,106)30We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. 1Now those that sealed were , Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, the son of Hachaliah, and Zidkijah,2Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,3Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah,4Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,5Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,6Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,7Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,8Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah: these were the priests.9And the Levites: both Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;10And their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,11Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah,12Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,13Hodijah, Bani, Beninu.14The chief of the people; Parosh, Pahathmoab, Elam, Zatthu, Bani,15Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,16Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,17Ater, Hizkijah, Azzur,18Hodijah, Hashum, Bezai,19Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai,20Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,21Meshezabeel, Zadok, Jaddua,22Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,23Hoshea, Hananiah, Hashub,24Hallohesh, Pileha, Shobek,25Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,26And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,27Malluch, Harim, Baanah.28And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;29They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God' law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;30And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:31And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.32Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;33For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things , and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.34And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:35And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:36Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:37And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.38And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.39For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
