1Slovo, kteréž se stalo k Jeremiášovi od Hospodina, řkoucí:2Slyšte slova smlouvy této, kteráž byste mluvili mužům Judským, a obyvatelům Jeruzalémským,3A rci jim: Takto praví Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Zlořečený ten člověk, kterýž by neposlechl slov smlouvy této,4Kterouž jsem vydal otcům vašim tehdáž, když jsem je vyvedl z země Egyptské, z peci železné, řka: Poslouchejte hlasu mého, a čiňte to všecko, tak jakž přikazuji vám, i budete lidem mým, a já budu Bohem vaším,5Abych splnil přísahu, kterouž jsem učinil otcům vašim, že jim dám zemi oplývající mlékem a strdí, jakž dnešní den jest. Jemuž odpověděv, řekl jsem: Amen, Hospodine.6Potom řekl mi Hospodin: Ohlašuj všecka slova tato po městech Judských, a po ulicích Jeruzalémských, řka: Slyšte slova smlouvy této, a čiňte je.7Nebo častokrát osvědčoval jsem se otcům vašim, od toho dne, jakž jsem je vyvedl z země Egyptské, až do dne tohoto; ráno přivstávaje a osvědčuje se, říkával jsem: Poslouchejte hlasu mého.8Ale neposlouchali, aniž naklonili ucha svého, nýbrž chodil jeden každý po zdání srdce svého zlého. Pročež uvedl jsem na ně všecka slova smlouvy této, kterouž jsem přikázal plniti, ale neplnili.9Tehdy řekl mi Hospodin: Nalézá se spiknutí mezi muži Judskými, a mezi obyvateli Jeruzalémskými.10Obrátili se k nepravostem otců svých starých, kteříž nechtěli poslouchati slov mých. Tolikéž tito chodí za bohy cizími, sloužíce jim; dům Izraelský a dům Judský zrušili smlouvu mou, kterouž jsem učinil s otci jejich.11Protož takto praví Hospodin: Aj, já uvedu na ně zlé, z něhož nebudou moci vyjíti. By pak volali ke mně, nevyslyším jich.12I půjdou města Judská i obyvatelé Jeruzalémští, a budou volati k bohům těm, kterýmž kadí, ale nikoli nevysvobodí jich v čas bídy jejich,13Ačkoli podlé počtu měst máš bohy své, ó Judo, a podlé počtu ulic Jeruzalémských nastavěli jste oltářů ohavnosti té, oltářů, na nichž byste kadili Bálovi.14Protož ty nemodl se za lid tento, aniž pozdvihuj za ně hlasu a modlitby; neboť nikoli nevyslyším jich v ten čas, když by volali ke mně příčinou svého zlého.15Co jest milému mému do mého domu, poněvadž nestydatě páše nešlechetnosti s mnohými, a oběti svaté odešly od tebe, a že v zlosti své pléšeš?16Byltě Hospodin nazval jméno tvé olivou zelenající se, pěknou pro ovoce ušlechtilé, ale s zvukem bouře veliké zapálí ji s hůry, když polámí ratolesti její.17Nebo Hospodin zástupů, kterýž tě byl štípil, vyřkl zlé proti tobě, pro nešlechetnost domu Izraelského a domu Judského, kterouž mezi sebou páchali, aby mne popouzeli, kadíce Bálovi.18Hospodin zajisté oznámil mi, i dověděl jsem se. Tehdáž jsi mi ukázal předsevzetí jejich,19Když jsem já byl jako beránek a volček, kterýž veden bývá k zabití. Nebo nevěděl jsem, by proti mně rady skládali: Zkazme strom s ovocem jeho, a vyhlaďme jej z země živých, aby jméno jeho nebylo připomínáno více.20Ale ó Hospodine zástupů, soudce spravedlivý, kterýž zkušuješ ledví i srdce, nechť se podívám na pomstu tvou nad nimi; nebo jsem tobě zjevil při svou.21Protož takto praví Hospodin o Anatotských, kteříž hledají bezživotí tvého, říkajíce: Neprorokuj ve jménu Hospodinovu, abys neumřel v ruce naší:22Protož takto praví Hospodin zástupů: Aj, já navštívím je. Mládenci zbiti budou mečem, synové jejich i dcery jejich zemrou hladem,23A nebudou míti potomků, když uvedu zlé na Anatotské, času toho, v němž je navštívím.
ÚKLADY PROTI PROROKOVI - — Lid porušuje smlouvu - Prorok obviňuje lid z porušení smlouvy, kterou Hospodin uzavřel s jejich předky.
1 Slovo, které se stalo k Jeremjášovi od Hospodina:2 „Slyšte slova této smlouvy. Vyhlásíš je mužům judským a obyvatelům Jeruzaléma.3 Řekneš jim: Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Proklet buď každý, kdo neposlouchá slova této smlouvy,4 jak jsem přikázal vašim otcům v den, kdy jsem je vyvedl z egyptské země, z tavicí pece železné: Poslouchejte mě a plňte má slova, všechno, co vám přikazuji, a budete mým lidem a já vám budu Bohem.5 Tak splním přísahu, jíž jsem se zapřisáhl vašim otcům, že jim dám zemi oplývající mlékem a medem, jak je tomu dnes.“ Odpověděl jsem a řekl: „Zajisté, Hospodine.“ 6 Dále mi Hospodin řekl: „Vyhlas v judských městech a na ulicích Jeruzaléma všechna tato slova: Slyšte slova této smlouvy a plňte je.7 Důrazně jsem varoval vaše otce ode dne, kdy jsem je vyvedl z egyptské země, až dodnes. Nepřetržitě jsem je varoval slovy: Poslouchejte mě!8 Ale neposlouchali, ucho nenaklonili; každý žil podle svého zarputilého a zlého srdce. Proto na ně uvedu všechna slova této smlouvy, kterou jsem přikázal plnit, ale oni ji neplnili.“ 9 Hospodin mi řekl: „Byla shledána zrada judských mužů a obyvatelů Jeruzaléma:10 Vrátili se k dřívějším nepravostem svých otců, kteří se vzpírali poslouchat má slova. Chodili za jinými bohy a sloužili jim. Dům izraelský i dům judský zrušily mou smlouvu, kterou jsem uzavřel s jejich otci.“ 11 Proto praví Hospodin toto: „Hle, já na ně uvedu zlé věci, jimž nebudou moci ujít. Budou ke mně úpět, ale já je nevyslyším.12 Ať si judská města a obyvatelé Jeruzaléma jdou úpět k bohům, jimž pálí kadidlo; nebudou s to je spasit, až na ně dolehne zlý čas.13 Vždyť máš tolik bohů, kolik měst, Judo. A kolik je jeruzalémských ulic, tolik oltářů jste zřídili Ohavě, oltářů pro pálení kadidla Baalovi. 14 Nemodli se za tento lid. Nepozvedej svůj hlas k bědování a modlitbě za ně. V čas, kdy budou ke mně pro to zlo volat, nebudu slyšet.“ 15 „Co pohledává Jákob, můj milý, v mém domě? Pletichy tam kují mnozí. Může obětní maso přenést zlo, které tě stihne? Budeš potom jásat? 16 Zelenající se olivou, krásnou a s nádherným ovocem, tě nazval Hospodin. S velikým hukotem zanítí pod ní oheň a ten stráví její ratolesti.“ 17 Hospodin zástupů, který tě zasadil, promluvil proti tobě zlé věci pro zlo, jehož se dopustil dům izraelský a dům judský: aby mě uráželi, pálili kadidlo Baalovi.
— Muži anatótští chtějí proroka zabít - Jeremjášovi příbuzní chystají úklady proti němu. Prorok rozmlouvá s Hospodinem.
18 Hospodin mi dal vědět o jejich skutcích; znám je. Kdysi jsi mi je ukázal.19 Byl jsem důvěřivý jako beránek vedený na porážku. Nevěděl jsem, co proti mně zamýšlejí. „Porazme strom i s ovocem, vytněme jej ze země živých, ať už není připomínáno jeho jméno.“ 20 Hospodine zástupů, soudce spravedlivý, ty zkoumáš ledví i srdce, kéž spatřím tvou pomstu nad nimi. Vždyť tobě jsem předložil svůj spor. 21 Proto praví Hospodin toto o anatótských mužích, kteří ti ukládají o život. Říkají: „Neprorokuj ve jménu Hospodina a nezemřeš naší rukou.“ 22 Proto praví Hospodin zástupů toto: „Hle, já je ztrestám. Jinoši zemřou mečem, synové a dcery jim zemřou hladem.23 Nikdo po nich nezůstane, neboť uvedu zlé věci na anatótské muže v roce, kdy je budu trestat.“
1Slovo, které Jeremiáš dostal od Hospodina:2„Slyšte slova této smlouvy! Vyřiď je judským mužům a obyvatelům Jeruzaléma.3Řekni jim – Tak praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Zlořečený je každý, kdo neposlouchá slova této smlouvy,4kterou jsem svěřil vašim otcům v den, kdy jsem je vyvedl z Egypta, z té tavicí pece. Řekl jsem: ‚Poslouchejte mě a plňte vše, co vám přikazuji, a budete mým lidem a já budu vaším Bohem.5Tehdy splním přísahu, kterou jsem složil vašim otcům, že jim dám zemi oplývající mlékem a medem‘ – zemi, v níž dnes žijete.“[1] „Amen, Hospodine,“ odpověděl jsem.6Hospodin mi řekl: „Volej v judských městech a v ulicích Jeruzaléma všechna tato slova: Poslouchejte slova této smlouvy a plňte je.7Ode dne, kdy jsem vyvedl vaše otce z Egypta, až dodnes jsem je naléhavě nabádal. Znovu a znovu jsem je nabádal: ‚Poslouchejte mě.‘8Oni však neposlouchali, vůbec nevnímali a každý se raději řídil svým zarputilým a zlým srdcem. Proto na nich vyplním všechny hrozby uvedené v této smlouvě, kterou jsem přikázal plnit, ale oni ji neplnili.“[2]9Hospodin mi řekl: „Judský lid a obyvatelé Jeruzaléma se proti mně spikli.10Vrátili se k hříchům svých dávných předků, kteří odmítali poslouchat má slova a odcházeli za cizími bohy, aby jim sloužili. Jak dům Izraele, tak dům Judy porušil mou smlouvu, kterou jsem uzavřel s jejich otci.11A proto tak praví Hospodin: Hle, přivedu na ně neštěstí, kterému nebudou moci utéci. Tehdy budou volat ke mně, ale já je nevyslyším.12Jen ať si judská města a obyvatelé Jeruzaléma jdou volat k bohům, kterým pálí kadidlo, jestli by je nespasili v čase neštěstí.13Máš přece tolik bohů, Judo – jednoho boha na každé město![3] A kolik je ulic v Jeruzalémě, tolik oltářů jste postavili Hanbě, oltářů k pálení kadidla Baalovi.14Nemodli se za tento lid. Nevysílej za ně prosby a modlitby. Až ke mně budou volat kvůli svému neštěstí, neuslyším.[4]15Co vlastně můj milý lid pohledává v mém domě? To chce dál s mnoha jinými kout pikle? Může snad maso obětí odvrátit tvé neštěstí, aby ses znovu veselil?16Košatou olivou tě nazval Hospodin, krásnou a s pěkným ovocem. Za hřmění hrozné bouře ji ale zapálí, její ratolesti zničí oheň!17Hospodin zástupů, který tě sázel, vyslovil nad tebou zlý ortel, protože dům Izraele i dům Judy páchal zlé věci: uráželi mě, když pálili kadidlo Baalovi.“
Spiknutí v Anatotu
18Hospodin mě poučil a já jsem to pochopil, jakmile mi ukázal, co dělají.19Byl jsem totiž důvěřivý jako beránek vedený na porážku, netušil jsem, jaké úklady na mě chystají: „Porazme strom i s ovocem, ze země živých ho vytněme, ať si na jeho jméno už nikdo nevzpomene!“20Hospodine zástupů, Soudce spravedlivý, jenž zkoumáš srdce i svědomí, kéž uvidím tvou pomstu nad nimi – vždyť jsem ti svěřil svoji při.21Toto praví Hospodin o mužích z Anatotu, kteří ti usilují o život a říkají: „Neprorokuj Hospodinovým jménem, nebo tě zabijeme.“22Nuže, toto praví Hospodin zástupů: „Já s nimi zúčtuji. Jejich mládenci padnou mečem, jejich synové a dcery pomřou hladem.23V čase, kdy s nimi zúčtuji, přivedu na muže z Anatotu neštěstí a nepřežije ani jeden z nich.“

Auch sie sind fremden Göttern nachgelaufen, um ihnen zu dienen. Das Haus Israel und das Haus Juda haben meinen Bund gebrochen, den ich mit ihren Vätern geschlossen habe.11Darum - so spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich bringe Unheil über sie, dem sie nicht entgehen können. Schreien sie dann zu mir, so werde ich nicht auf sie hören.12Und die Städte Judas und die Einwohner Jerusalems werden hingehen und zu den Göttern schreien, denen sie Räucheropfer darbringen; sie aber werden ihnen zur Zeit der Not gewiss nicht helfen.13Denn so zahlreich wie deine Städte sind auch deine Götter, Juda, geworden und so zahlreich wie die Straßen Jerusalems habt ihr der Schande Altäre errichtet, Altäre, um dem Baal zu räuchern. (Jr 2,28)14Du aber bete nicht für dieses Volk! Erhebe nicht für sie Flehen oder Bitten! Denn ich höre nicht in der Zeit, wenn sie zu mir rufen wegen ihrer Not. (Jr 7,16; Jr 14,11)15Was hat mein Liebling in meinem Haus zu suchen, wenn er nur schlimme Pläne ausführt? Können Gelübde und Opferfleisch das Unheil von dir fernhalten? Dann könntest du jubeln.[3]16Einen üppigen Ölbaum von schöner Gestalt hatte der HERR dich genannt. Wenn der gewaltige Lärm ertönt, legt er Feuer an ihn, sodass seine Zweige hässlich werden.17Der HERR der Heerscharen, der dich pflanzte, hat Unheil über dich verhängt wegen der Bosheit des Hauses Israel und des Hauses Juda, die sie getan haben; dem Baal räucherten sie, um mich zu erzürnen.
Erste Konfession des Propheten Jeremia
18Der HERR ließ es mich wissen und so wusste ich es; damals ließest du mich ihr Treiben durchschauen.19Ich aber war wie ein zutrauliches Lamm, das zum Schlachten geführt wird, und ahnte nicht, dass sie gegen mich Böses planten: Wir wollen den Baum im Saft verderben; wir wollen ihn ausrotten aus dem Land der Lebenden, sodass seines Namens nicht mehr gedacht wird.[4] (Iz 53,7)20Aber der HERR der Heerscharen richtet gerecht, er prüft Nieren und Herz. Ich werde deine Vergeltung an ihnen sehen, denn dir habe ich meine Sache anvertraut. (Ž 7,10; Jr 20,12)21Darum - so spricht der HERR gegen die Leute von Anatot, die mir nach dem Leben trachten und sagen: Du darfst nicht als Prophet im Namen des HERRN auftreten, wenn du nicht durch unsere Hand sterben willst.22Darum - so spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Seht, ich werde sie heimsuchen. Die jungen Männer sterben durchs Schwert, ihre Söhne und Töchter sterben vor Hunger.23So wird den Leuten von Anatot kein Rest mehr bleiben, wenn ich Unheil über sie bringe, das Jahr ihrer Bestrafung.

Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.6Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.7For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.8Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.9And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.10They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.11Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.12Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.13For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.14Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.15What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.16The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.17For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.18And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it , and I know it : then thou shewedst me their doings.19But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying , Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.20But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.21Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:22Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:23And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.
