1Aj, Hospodin vyprázdní zemi, a pustou učiní; promění zajisté způsob její, a rozptýlí obyvatele její.2I budeť jakož lid tak kníže, jakož služebník tak pán jeho, jakož děvka tak paní její, jakož kupující tak prodávající, jakož půjčující tak vypůjčující, jakož lichevník tak ten, jenž lichvu dává.3Náramně vyprázděna bude země, a velice zloupena; nebo Hospodin mluvil slovo toto.4Kvíliti bude a padne země, zemdlí a padne okršlek země, zemdlejí vysocí národové zemští,5Proto že i ta země poškvrněna jest pod obyvateli svými; nebo přestoupili zákony, změnili ustanovení, zrušili smlouvu věčnou.6Protož prokletí zžíře zemi, a vypléněni budou obyvatelé její; protož hořeti budou obyvatelé země, a pozůstane lidí maličko.7Žalostiti bude mest, usvadne vinný kmen, úpěti budou všickni veselého srdce.8Odpočine radost bubnů, přestane hluk veselících se, utichne veselí harfy.9Nebudou píti vína s prozpěvováním, zhořkne opojný nápoj pitelům jeho.10Potříno bude město marnosti; zavřín bude každý dům, aby do něho nechodili.11Naříkání bude na ulicích pro víno, zatemněno bude všeliké veselí, odstěhuje se radost země.12Zůstane v městě poušť, i brány zbořeny budou.13Nebo tak bude u prostřed země, u prostřed národů, jako očesání olivy, jako paběrkování, když se dokoná vinobraní.14Tiť pozdvihnou hlasu svého, prozpěvovati budou v důstojnosti Hospodinově, prokřikovati budou i při moři.15Protož v údolích oslavujte Hospodina, na ostrovích mořských jméno Hospodina Boha Izraelského.16Od končin země slyšíme písničky o slávě spravedlivého. Ale já řekl jsem: Zchuravěl jsem, zchuravěl jsem. Ach, na mé hoře, že nešlechetní nešlechetnost provodí, nešlechetnost, pravím, že tak nestydatě páší.17Hrůza a jáma a osídlo tě očekává, ó obyvateli země.18I stane se, že kdož uteče před pověstí strachu, upadne do jámy, a kdož vyleze z jámy, v osídle uvázne; nebo průduchové s výsosti otevříni budou, a zatřesou se základové země.19Velmi se rozstoupí země, velice se rozpadne země, náramně pohybovati se bude země.20Motaje, motati se bude země jako opilý, a přenešena bude jako chaloupka; nebo těžce na ni dolehne nepravost její, i padne tak, že nepovstane více.21I stane se v ten den, navštíví Hospodin vojsko vysoké na výsosti, též i krále zemské na zemi.22Kteřížto shromážděni budou, tak jako shromažďováni bývají vězňové do žaláře, a zavříni budou u vězení; po mnohých, pravím, dnech navštíveni budou.23I zahanbí se měsíc, a zastydí slunce, když kralovati bude Hospodin zástupů na hoře Sion, a v Jeruzalémě, a před starci svými slavně.
Budoucnost a přítomnost - VIDĚNÍ KONCE - — Naprosté zničení země - Pro lidskou zvrácenost zajde země i všechno na ní. Zkázu přežije jen málo lidí.
1 Hle, Hospodin vyplení zemi a zpustoší ji, rozvrátí její tvářnost a rozpráší její obyvatele. 2 Bude na tom stejně lid i kněz, otrok i jeho pán, služka i její paní, kupující i prodavač, věřitel i dlužník, lichvář i zadlužený. 3 Země bude zcela vypleněna a vyloupena; toto slovo promluvil Hospodin. 4 Truchlit, vadnout bude země, chřadnout, vadnout bude svět, nejvznešenější z lidu země budou chřadnout. 5 Zhanobena je země svými obyvateli, neboť přestoupili zákony, změnili nařízení, porušili věčnou smlouvu. 6 Proto pozře zemi prokletí, kdo v ní přebývají, budou pykat; proto obyvatelé země zajdou v žáru a zůstane lidí maličko. 7 Bude truchlit mošt, zvadne vinná réva, všichni, jejichž srdce se raduje, budou vzdychat. 8 Ustane veselí bubnů, pomine hluk rozjařených, ustane veselí citery. 9 Nebudou pít za zpěvu víno, opojný nápoj pijákům zhořkne. 10 Zbořeno bude pusté město, vchod do každého domu bude zatarasen. 11 V ulicích bude žalostný křik pro víno, nastane večer veškeré radosti, veselí se vystěhuje ze země. 12 Ve městě zůstane hrozná spoušť, zničena, rozbita bude brána.
— Vykoupení jedněch, zkáza druhých - Konec bude neodvratný, nezachrání se ani králové, ale vykoupení budou plesat.
13 I bude uprostřed země, mezi národy, tak jako když se srážejí olivy, jako paběrky, když končí vinobraní. 14 Všude pozvednou svůj hlas a budou plesat, nad důstojností Hospodinovou budou jásat i při moři. 15 Proto vzdejte Hospodinu čest i na východě, jménu Hospodina, Boha Izraele, na ostrovech mořských. 16 Od kraje země jsme slyšeli prozpěvovat: „Sláva spravedlivému!“ Já jsem však řekl: „Je mi zle! Je mi zle! Běda mi!“ Věrolomní jednají věrolomně, věrolomní se dopouštějí věrolomnosti. 17 Postrach, propast, past na tebe, obyvateli země! 18 Kdo uteče před hlučícím postrachem, padne do propasti, a kdo vyleze z propasti, do pasti se lapí, otevřou se nebeské propusti shora a budou se třást základy země. 19 Země se rozlomí, země se rozkymácí, země se rozpadne. 20 Země se rozvrávorá, bude jak opilec, bude se zmítat jako budka. Dolehne na ni její nevěrnost, i padne a už nepovstane. 21 V onen den Hospodin ztrestá nebeský zástup na výšině i pozemské krále na zemi. 22 Budou sebráni, jako je sebrán vězeň do jámy, a budou zavřeni pod zámek; po mnohých pak dnech budou potrestáni. 23 Zardí se bledá luna, zastydí se žárné slunko, až se Hospodin zástupů ujme kralování na hoře Sijónu a v Jeruzalémě před svými staršími v slávě.
1Hle, Hospodin vyplení zemi, zcela ji zpustoší; zohaví její vzezření, její obyvatele rozptýlí.2Stejně dopadne kněz i kmán, otrok i jeho pán, děvečka i její paní, ti, kdo kupují i kdo prodávají, věřitelé i dlužníci, lichváři i jejich oběti.3Zem bude úplně vypleněna, o všechno bude oloupena – takové slovo vyšlo od Hospodina!4Zem chřadne, uvadá, celý svět vadne vyčerpán, vyčerpán je i výkvět národa.5Země je poskvrněna svými obyvateli; neboť překročili zákony, na ustanovení nedbali a věčnou smlouvu zrušili.6To proto zemi hltá prokletí a její obyvatelé pykají; obyvatelé země mizejí, zbývají už jen nemnozí.7Nové víno vyschlo, réva uvadá, namísto radovánek každý naříká.8Umlklo veselé chřestění tamburín, ztichlo hlučení hýřících, umlkly radostné zvuky citery.9Už nepijí víno s písněmi, pijákům zhořkl nápoj opojný.10Rozbořeno je město marnosti; vchody všech domů zataraseny.11Že není víno, zní nářek v ulicích, nastal soumrak všeho veselí, radost odešla do vyhnanství.12Z města zůstaly pusté trosky, brána roztříštěna na kusy.13Toto se stane na zemi mezi národy – jako když se češou olivy, jako když po vinobraní zbudou paběrky.
Hospodin se oslaví
14Hlasitě potom vykřiknou radostí, západ zajásá, až Hospodin se oslaví.15Proto i na východě chvalte Hospodina, jméno Hospodina, Boha Izraelova, ať zní na mořských pobřežích.16Slyšíme chvalozpěv z nejzazších krajů: „Sláva Spravedlivému!“ Já ale říkám: „Zle je mi, zle je mi! Běda mi – zrádci zradili, zrádci zrádně zradili!“17Strach a prach a past na tebe, kdo zemi obýváš!18Kdo uteče, až zazní strašný hlas, upadne do propasti v prach; kdo z propasti se vyškrábá, nad tím se sklapne past. Nebeské průduchy se otevřou, zemské základy se otřesou:19Země se láme, láme se, země se hroutí, hroutí se, země se třese, třese se!20Země se motá, motá se jako opilec, chvěje se jako chýše pod vichrem. Její provinění na ni těžce dopadne, zhroutí se a už nevstane.21V ten den Hospodin potrestá mocnosti nahoře na nebi i krále dole na zemi.22Budou nahnáni jako vězni do jámy, budou zavřeni v žaláři; po dlouhé době pak budou souzeni.23Měsíc zůstane užaslý i samo slunce se zastydí, až se Hospodin zástupů na hoře Sion v Jeruzalémě ujme království a zjeví svou slávu před svými stařešiny.
