1 Opět přivedl mne k chrámu, a změřil veřeje, šesti loket zšíří s jedné strany, a šesti loket zšíří s druhé strany, podlé širokosti stánku. 2 A širokost dveří desíti loket, boky pak dveří pěti loket s jedné a pěti loket s druhé strany. I mluvil ke mně: Tento jest stůl, kterýž stojí před Hospodinem. 23 A dvojnásobní dvéře byly u chrámu i u svatyně, 24 A dvojnásobní dvéře ve vratech, totiž dvojnásobní dvéře obracející se, dvojnásobní ve vratech jedněch, a dvojnásobní dvéře v druhých. 25 Byli pak uděláni na nich, na těch dveřích chrámu, cherubínové a palmy, tak jakž uděláni byli na stěnách, trámové také dřevění byli před síňcí vně. 26 Též na oknech possoužených byly palmy s obou stran po bocích síňce, i na pavlačích domu toho i trámích.

Protože obklopovala stupňovitě dům po celém jeho obvodu, rozšiřoval se stupňovitě i dům. Obloženy byly stěny od země až k oknům, i okna byla pokryta. 17 Obložení sahalo až nad vchod uvnitř i zevně domu. Na každé stěně souměrně po celém vnějším obvodu 18 byli vyřezáni cherubové a palmy. Mezi dvěma cheruby byla vždy palma. Každý cherub měl dvě tváře: 19 Tvář lidská směřovala k palmě na jedné straně a tvář lví k palmě na druhé straně. Tak to bylo kolem celého domu. 20 Cherubové i palmy byli vyřezáni i na stěně chrámu od země až nad vchod. 21 Chrám měl čtverhranné veřeje. Před svatyní bylo vidět 22 dřevěný oltář tři lokte vysoký a dva lokte dlouhý, hranatý. Stěny po celé jeho délce byly dřevěné. Promluvil ke mně: „Toto je stůl, který je před Hospodinem.“ 23 Dvoje dveře vedly do chrámu i do svatyně. 24 Dveře měly dvě křídla a obě křídla byla otočná. První i další dveře měly po dvou křídlech. 25 Na dveřích chrámu byla řezba cherubů a palem stejných jako na stěnách. Zvenčí před předsíní bylo dřevěné přístřeší. 26 Zúžená okna a palmy byly na stěnách předsíně na obou stranách i na ochozech domu a na přístřešcích.

Vchod měl šířku 6 loktů a jeho zárubně po jedné i druhé straně^[2] 7 loktů. 4 Změřil celou tuto místnost v čele chrámové lodi a byla 20 loktů dlouhá a 20 loktů široká. „To je nejsvětější svatyně,“ řekl mi. 5 Poté změřil stěnu chrámu: byla 6 loktů silná. Celý chrám kolem dokola na šířku 4 loktů obepínaly postranní komory. 6 Komory stály ve třech patrech nad sebou, vždy po třiceti v patře. Na stěně chrámu byly kolem dokola výstupky pro nosníky komor, tak aby nosníky nezasahovaly do samotné stěny chrámu. 7 Komory po obvodu chrámu byly v každém dalším patře širší. Přístavba obepínající chrám byla stupňovitá, takže se komory v každém dalším patře rozšiřovaly. Ze spodního patra se stoupalo do horního přes prostřední.^[3] 8 Všiml jsem si, že kolem dokola chrámu byla zvýšená plošina tvořící základ přístavby s postranními komorami. Byla vysoká celou tyč neboli 6 loktů.^[4] 9 Vnější stěna postranních komor byla 5 loktů silná. Vyhrazené prostranství včetně oné mohutné stavby a jejích stěn bylo také 100 loktů dlouhé. 14 Právě tak i šířka vyhrazeného prostranství včetně čela chrámu na východě byla 100 loktů. 15 Změřil také onu mohutnou stavbu na zadní straně vyhrazeného prostranství: včetně ochozů po jedné i druhé straně byla 100 loktů široká. Vnitřek chrámové lodi i předsíně vedoucí do nádvoří 16 stejně jako prahy, zužující se okna i trojité ochozy – všechno od prahu a dál bylo kolem dokola obloženo dřevem od podlahy až k oknům a okenicím, 17 až po vchod do vnitřní svatyně. Kolem dokola po stěnách vnitřní i vnější části chrámu byli v pravidelných vzdálenostech 18 vyřezáni cherubové a palmy, vždy jedna palma mezi dvěma cheruby. Každý cherub měl dvě tváře: 19 lidskou tvář proti palmě z jedné strany a lví tvář proti palmě z druhé strany. Tak to bylo vyřezáno kolem dokola celého chrámu. 20 Řezby cherubů a palem pokrývaly stěny chrámu od podlahy až nad vchod. 21 Chrámová loď měla čtverhranné veřeje. Před svatyní stálo cosi jako 22 dřevěný oltář. Byl 3 lokty vysoký, 2 lokty široký^[5] a 2 lokty dlouhý. Jeho zpevněné rohy, podstavec^[6] a stěny byly ze dřeva. „To je stůl stojící před Hospodinem,“ řekl mi onen muž. 23 Chrámová loď i svatyně měly dvojité dveře. 24 Každé dveře měly po dvou křídlech a obě ta křídla byla otočná; jak první, tak druhé dveře měly po dvou křídlech. 25 Na chrámových dveřích byly rytiny cherubů a palem, takové jako na stěnách. Na vnějším průčelí předsíně byla dřevěná římsa. 26 Na bočních stěnách předsíně byla zužující se okna s palmami po jedné i druhé straně. Také na postranních komorách chrámu byly římsy.

1 Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle. 2 And the breadth of the door was ten cubits; and the sides of the door were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits. 3 Then went he inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits. 4 So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place . 5 After he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the house on every side. 6 And the side chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of the house for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house. 7 And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst. 8 I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits. 9 The thickness of the wall, which was for the side chamber without, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the side chambers that were within. 10 And between the chambers was the wideness of twenty cubits round about the house on every side. 11 And the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about. 12 Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits. 13 So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long; 14 Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits. 15 And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court; 16 The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered; 17 To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure. 18 And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces; 19 So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about. 20 From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple. 21 The posts of the temple were squared, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance of the one as the appearance of the other . 22 The altar of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD. 23 And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors. 24 And the doors had two leaves apiece , two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door . 25 And there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubims and palm trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch without. 26 And there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and upon the side chambers of the house, and thick planks.
