od Česká biblická společnost1 Nebudeš obětovat Hospodinu, svému Bohu, dobytče ze skotu nebo bravu, na němž je vada, cokoli špatného, protože to má Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, za ohavnost. 2 Vyskytne-li se u tebe v některé z tvých bran, které ti Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, dává, muž nebo žena, kteří by se dopustili toho, co je zlé v očích Hospodina, tvého Boha, přestoupili by jeho smlouvu3 a odešli sloužit jiným bohům a klanět se jim, slunci nebo měsíci anebo celému nebeskému zástupu, což jsem nepřikázal,4 a bude-li ti to oznámeno nebo o tom uslyšíš, dobře si to prošetříš. Bude-li to jistá pravda, že byla spáchána v Izraeli taková ohavnost,5 vyvedeš toho muže nebo tu ženu, kteří se dopustili té zlé věci, ke svým branám a toho muže nebo tu ženu budete kamenovat, dokud nezemřou.6 Ten, kdo má zemřít, bude usmrcen na základě výpovědi dvou nebo tří svědků. Nebude usmrcen na základě výpovědi jediného svědka.7 Svědkové na něho vztáhnou ruku jako první, aby ho usmrtili, potom všechen ostatní lid. Tak odstraníš zlo ze svého středu. 8 Naskytne-li se ti nějaký mimořádný právní případ, rozsoudit, kdo je vinen vraždou, rozepří, ublížením na těle, tedy jakýkoli sporný případ ve tvých branách, vydáš se k místu, které si Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, vyvolí.9 Přijdeš k lévijským kněžím a k soudci, který tam bude v těch dnech, dotážeš se a oni ti oznámí právní nález.10 Budeš pak jednat podle výroku, který ti oznámí z onoho místa, které vyvolí Hospodin. Bedlivě dodržíš všechno, o čem tě oni poučí.11 Budeš jednat podle znění zákona, o němž tě poučí, a podle práva, které ti vysvětlí. Neuchýlíš se napravo ani nalevo od toho, co ti oni oznámí.12 Kdo bude jednat opovážlivě, že by neposlechl kněze, který tam stojí ve službě Hospodina, tvého Boha, nebo soudce, ten zemře. Tak odstraníš zlo z Izraele.13 Všechen lid ať to slyší a bojí se a ať už nejedná opovážlivě.

od Biblion1Neobětuj Hospodinu, svému Bohu, býka ani berana, na němž by byla vada nebo cokoli špatného – pro Hospodina, tvého Boha, je to ohavnost!2Ve tvém středu, v kterémkoli městě, které ti Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, dá, by se mohl objevit muž nebo žena, kteří by v očích Hospodina, tvého Boha, spáchali tu špatnost, že by přestoupili jeho smlouvu3a odešli sloužit a klanět se cizím bohům – slunci, měsíci či celému nebeskému zástupu (což jsem nikdy nepřikázal).4Bude-li ti to oznámeno nebo se o tom doslechneš, důkladně to prošetři. Pokud se najisto potvrdí, že v Izraeli byla spáchána taková ohavnost,5vyvedeš muže nebo ženu, kteří tu špatnost spáchali, ke svým branám a ukamenuješ je k smrti.6Ten, kdo má zemřít, ať je popraven na základě výpovědi dvou nebo tří svědků. Pečlivě dodrž všechny jejich pokyny.11Zachovej se podle pravidla, o němž tě poučí, a podle rozsudku, který ti řeknou. Od výroku, který ti oznámí, se neuchyluj napravo ani nalevo.12Kdyby se někdo odvážil neuposlechnout kněze, stojícího tam ve službě Hospodinu, tvému Bohu, anebo soudce, pak ať ten člověk zemře. Odstraň z Izraele zlo!13Až o tom všechen lid uslyší, přijde na ně bázeň a nebudou už jednat opovážlivě.
Zákon o králi

Řekneš-li si: „Ustanovím nad sebou krále, tak jako všechny národy kolem mne“,15pak nad sebou ustanov jen takového krále, jehož si vyvolí Hospodin, tvůj Bůh. Ustanovíš nad sebou krále ze svých bratří; cizince, jenž by nebyl tvým bratrem, si dosadit nesmíš.16Ať ale nemá mnoho koní, aby neposílal lid zpátky do Egypta pro další koně. Hospodin vám přece řekl: „Touto cestou se už nikdy nevrátíte.“[1]17Ať nemá mnoho žen, aby snad jeho srdce nezabloudilo. Také ať nemá příliš mnoho zlata a stříbra.18Až dosedne na svůj královský trůn, ať si nechá od levitských kněží pořídit opis tohoto Zákona.19Tu knihu ať má stále u sebe a čte ji po všechny dny svého života. Verfahren beim Abfall zu Gestirngöttern
2Wenn in deiner Mitte, in einem der Stadtbereiche, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir gibt, ein Mann - oder auch eine Frau - lebt, der tut, was in den Augen des HERRN, deines Gottes, böse ist und sich über seinen Bund hinwegsetzt, (Dt 13,2; Dt 29,24)3wenn er hingeht, anderen Göttern dient und sich vor ihnen niederwirft - und zwar vor der Sonne, dem Mond oder dem ganzen Himmelsheer, was ich verboten habe -, (Dt 4,19; 2Kr 17,16; 2Kr 21,3; 2Kr 23,4)4wenn dir das gemeldet wird, wenn du den Fall anhängig machst, genaue Ermittlungen anstellst und es sich zeigt: Ja, es ist wahr, der Tatbestand steht fest, dieser Gräuel ist in Israel geschehen!, (Dt 19,18)5dann sollst du diesen Mann oder diese Frau, die den Frevel begangen haben, den Mann oder die Frau, zu einem deiner Stadttore führen und steinigen und sie sollen sterben.6Wenn es um Leben oder Tod eines Angeklagten geht, darf er nur auf die Aussage von zwei oder drei Zeugen hin zum Tod verurteilt werden. Das sakrale Gerichtsverfahren
8Wenn bei einem Verfahren wegen Mord, Eigentumsdelikt oder Körperverletzung - also wegen Streitsachen, über die in deinen Stadtbereichen entschieden werden darf - der Fall für dich zu ungewöhnlich liegt, dann sollst du dich aufmachen, zu der Stätte hinaufziehen, die der HERR erwählen wird, (Dt 1,16; Dt 21,5)9und vor die levitischen Priester und den Richter treten, der dann amtiert. Du sollst genaue Ermittlungen anstellen lassen und sie sollen dir den Urteilsspruch verkünden. (Dt 10,8; Dt 19,17; Dt 26,3)10Dann sollst du dich an den Wortlaut des Spruchs halten, den sie dir an dieser Stätte, die der HERR erwählen wird, verkünden, und du sollst alles, was sie dich lehren, genau bewahren und es halten.11An den Wortlaut der Weisung, die sie dich lehren, und an das Urteil, das sie fällen, sollst du dich halten. Der König
