от Veren1И израилевите синове пак вършиха зло пред ГОСПОДА и ГОСПОД ги предаде в ръката на филистимците за четиридесет години.2И имаше един човек от Сараа, от рода на данците, на име Маной; и жена му беше безплодна и не раждаше.3И Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН се яви на жената и ѝ каза: Ето сега, ти си безплодна и не раждаш, но ще забременееш и ще родиш син.4Затова сега се пази да не пиеш нито вино, нито спиртно питие и да не ядеш нищо нечисто.5Защото, ето, ще забременееш и ще родиш син; и никакъв бръснач не бива да мине върху главата му, защото още от утробата момчето ще бъде назирей на Бога; и ще започне да избавя Израил от ръката на филистимците.6Тогава жената дойде и говори на мъжа си, и каза: Един Божи човек дойде при мен и видът Му беше като вида на Божия Ангел, много страшен; и аз не Го попитах откъде е, нито Той ми каза Името Си.7И ми каза: Ето, ще забременееш и ще родиш син; и сега да не пиеш нито вино, нито спиртно питие и да не ядеш нищо нечисто, защото момчето ще бъде назирей на Бога от утробата до деня на смъртта си.8Тогава Маной се помоли на ГОСПОДА и каза: Господи, моля те, нека пак дойде при нас Божият Човек, когото си изпратил, и нека ни научи какво да направим с момчето, което ще се роди!9И Бог послуша гласа на Маной и Божият Ангел пак дойде при жената, докато тя седеше на нивата; а мъжът ѝ Маной не беше с нея.10Тогава жената изтича бързо и говори на мъжа си, и му каза: Ето, яви ми се Човекът, който дойде при мен онзи ден.11И Маной стана и последва жена си, и дойде при Човека, и му каза: Ти ли си Човекът, който е говорил на тази жена? Да спазва всичко, което ѝ заповядах.15Тогава Маной каза на Ангела ГОСПОДЕН: Моля те, нека те задържим и да ти приготвим яре!16А Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН каза на Маной: И да Ме задържиш, няма да ям хляба ти, но ако приготвиш всеизгаряне, принеси го на ГОСПОДА! – защото Маной не позна, че това беше Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН.17Тогава Маной каза на Ангела ГОСПОДЕН: Как е Името Ти, за да Те почетем, когато се изпълни думата Ти?18А Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН му каза: Защо питаш за Името Ми? То е чудно.19Тогава Маной взе ярето и хлебния принос и го принесе на ГОСПОДА върху скалата. И Маной и жена му видяха това и паднаха по лице на земята.21И Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН не се яви повече на Маной и жена му, и тогава Маной позна, че това беше Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН.22И Маной каза на жена си: Непременно ще умрем, защото видяхме Бога!23А жена му му каза: Ако ГОСПОД искаше да ни убие, нямаше да приеме всеизгаряне и хлебен принос от ръката ни, нито щеше да ни покаже всичко това, нито щеше да ни даде да чуем такива неща в това време.24И жената роди син и го нарече Самсон. И момчето порасна и ГОСПОД го благослови.25И ГОСПОДНИЯТ Дух започна да го води в Махане-Дан[1], между Сараа и Естаол.
1And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, so the LORD gave them into the hand of the Philistines for forty years. (Съд 2:11; Съд 3:31; Съд 10:7; 1 Цар 12:9)2There was a certain man of Zorah, of the tribe of the Danites, whose name was Manoah. And his wife was barren and had no children. No razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb, and he shall begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines.” (Чис 6:5; Съд 13:4; Съд 16:17; 1 Цар 1:11; 1 Цар 7:13; 2 Цар 8:1; 1 Лет 18:1)6Then the woman came and told her husband, “A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of God, very awesome. So then drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.’” (Съд 13:3)8Then Manoah prayed to the LORD and said, “O Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we are to do with the child who will be born.”9And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field. But Manoah her husband was not with her.10So the woman ran quickly and told her husband, “Behold, the man who came to me the other day has appeared to me.”11And Manoah arose and went after his wife and came to the man and said to him, “Are you the man who spoke to this woman?” And he said, “I am.”12And Manoah said, “Now when your words come true, what is to be the child’s manner of life, and what is his mission?” (Лк 1:66)13And the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, “Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful.14She may not eat of anything that comes from the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, or eat any unclean thing. All that I commanded her let her observe.” (Съд 13:4)15Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “Please let us detain you and prepare a young goat for you.” (Бит 18:5; Съд 6:19)16And the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, “If you detain me, I will not eat of your food. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the LORD. (Съд 6:22)22And Manoah said to his wife, “We shall surely die, for we have seen God.” (Съд 13:21)23But his wife said to him, “If the LORD had meant to kill us, he would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering at our hands, or shown us all these things, or now announced to us such things as these.”24And the woman bore a son and called his name Samson.
