1 В начало Бог създаде небесата[1] и земята. 2 А земята беше пуста и неустроена и тъмнина беше върху бездната, и Дух Божи се носеше над водите. 3 И Бог каза: Да бъде светлина! И стана светлина. 4 И Бог видя, че светлината беше добро; и Бог раздели светлината от тъмнината. 5 И Бог нарече светлината ден, а тъмнината нарече нощ. И стана вечер, и стана утро: ден един. 6 И Бог каза: Да бъде твърд посред водите, която да раздели води от води! 7 И Бог направи твърдта; и раздели водите, които бяха под твърдта, от водите, които бяха над твърдта. И стана така. 8 И Бог нарече твърдта небе. И стана вечер, и стана утро: ден втори. 9 И Бог каза: Да се съберат на едно място водите, които са под небето, и да се яви сушата! И стана така. 10 И Бог нарече сушата земя, а събраните води нарече морета. И Бог видя, че беше добро. 11 И Бог каза: Да произрасти земята зелена трева, трева, която дава семе, и плодоносно дърво, което да ражда плод според вида си, чието семе да е в него на земята! И стана така. 12 Земята произрасти зелена трева, трева, която да дава семе според вида си, и дърво, което да ражда плод, чието семе е в него според вида му. И Бог видя, че беше добро. 13 И стана вечер, и стана утро: ден трети. 14 И Бог каза: Да бъдат светила на небесната твърд, за да разделят деня от нощта; нека служат за знаци и за времена, и дни, и години; 15 и да бъдат за светила на небесната твърд, за да светят на земята! И стана така. 16 И Бог създаде двете големи светила: по-голямото светило, за да владее деня, и по-малкото светило, за да владее нощта, и звездите. 17 И Бог ги постави на небесната твърд, за да светят на земята, 18 да владеят деня и нощта и да разделят светлината от тъмнината. И Бог видя, че беше добро. 19 И стана вечер, и стана утро: ден четвърти. 20 И Бог каза: Да гъмжи водата от множества живи същества[2], и птици да летят над земята по небесната твърд! 21 И Бог създаде големите морски чудовища и всяко живо същество, което се движи, от които водата гъмжеше според видовете им, и всяка крилата птица според вида ѝ. И Бог видя, че беше добро. 22 И Бог ги благослови и каза: Плодете се, множете се и напълнете водите в моретата; нека се множат и птиците по земята! 23 И стана вечер, и стана утро: ден пети. 24 И Бог каза: Да произведе земята живи същества според видовете им: добитък, пълзящи и земни животни според видовете им. И стана така. 25 Бог създаде земните животни според видовете им, добитъка според видовете му и всичко, което пълзи по земята, според видовете му. И Бог видя, че беше добро. 26 И Бог каза: Да създадем човека[3] по Нашия образ, по Наше подобие! И нека владеят над морските риби, над небесните птици, над добитъка, над цялата земя и над всички пълзящи, които пълзят по земята. 27 И Бог създаде човека по Своя образ, по Божия образ го създаде; мъжки и женски пол ги създаде. 28 И Бог ги благослови и Бог им каза: Плодете се и се множете, напълнете земята и я обладайте, и владейте над морските риби, над небесните птици и над всяко живо същество, което се движи по земята. 29 И Бог каза: Ето, давам ви всяка трева, която дава семе, която е по лицето на цялата земя, и всяко дърво, което има в себе си плод на дърво, което дава семе: те ще ви бъдат за храна. 30 А на всичките земни животни, на всичките небесни птици и на всичко, което пълзи по земята, в което има жива душа, давам всяка зелена трева за храна. И стана така. 31 И Бог видя всичко, което създаде. И ето, беше твърде добро. И стана вечер, и стана утро: шестият ден.

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Йов 38:4; Пс 33:6; Пс 136:5; Ис 42:5; Ис 45:18; Йн 1:1; Д А 14:15; Д А 17:24; Кол 1:16; Евр 1:10; Евр 11:3; Отк 4:11) 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (Ер 4:23) 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (2 Кор 4:6) 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. 6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse[1] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” (Йов 37:18; Пс 136:5; Ер 10:12; Ер 51:15) 7 And God made[2] the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. (Пс 148:4; Пр 8:27) 8 And God called the expanse Heaven.[3] And there was evening and there was morning, the second day. 9 And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. And God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants[5] yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. (Пс 104:14) 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day. 14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons,[6] and for days and years, (Пс 104:19; Ер 10:2; Ез 32:7; Йоил 2:30; Йоил 3:15; Мт 24:29; Лк 21:25) 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God saw that it was good. (Ер 31:35) 19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. 20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds[7] fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
