1 Au chef de chœur, cantique, psaume. Poussez vers Dieu des cris de joie, vous tous, habitants de la terre! 2 Chantez sa gloire! Honorez-le par vos louanges! 3 Parlez ainsi à Dieu: ╵« Que tes actions sont imposantes! » Devant ton immense puissance, ╵tes ennemis s’inclinent[1]. 4 Prosternée devant toi, ╵la terre entière entonne ╵un chant en ton honneur et te célèbre. Pause 5 Venez voir ce que Dieu a fait, car ses actions sont imposantes ╵en faveur des humains: 6 la mer changée en terre ferme! le fleuve passé à pied sec[2]! Aussi nous exultons en lui. (Ex 14:16; Jos 3:15; Ps 74:15; Ps 78:13; Ps 106:9; Ps 114:3; Is 44:27; Is 50:2) 7 Car il gouverne pour toujours ╵avec puissance, et ses yeux surveillent les peuples afin que les rebelles ╵ne puissent pas ╵se dresser contre lui. Pause 8 Bénissez notre Dieu, ô peuples! Faites retentir ses louanges! 9 C’est grâce à lui que nous vivons: il nous a gardés de la chute. 10 Tu nous as éprouvés, ô Dieu, tu nous as jetés au creuset ╵comme on fait pour l’argent. 11 Tu nous as pris au piège, tu nous as chargés d’un fardeau, 12 tu as permis à l’ennemi ╵de nous réduire sous son joug. Nous avons traversé le feu, ╵nous avons dû passer par l’eau, mais tu nous en as fait sortir ╵pour nous conduire à l’abondance. 13 Je viens dans ta maison ╵avec des holocaustes, je m’acquitte envers toi ╵des vœux que je t’ai faits. 14 J’accomplis les promesses prononcées par ma bouche ╵au temps de ma détresse. 15 Je t’offre en holocauste ╵les bêtes les plus grasses, des béliers avec de l’encens. J’immolerai ╵des taureaux et des boucs. Pause 16 Venez et écoutez, ╵vous tous qui craignez Dieu, ╵je vous raconterai ce qu’il a fait pour moi. 17 Lorsque mes cris montaient vers lui, sa louange était sur ma langue. 18 Si j’avais gardé dans mon cœur ╵des intentions coupables, le Seigneur ne m’aurait pas écouté. 19 Mais Dieu m’a entendu et il a été attentif ╵à ma prière. 20 Béni soit Dieu, car il n’a pas ╵repoussé ma prière, il me conserve son amour.

1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth; (Ps 81:1; Ps 95:1; Ps 98:4; Ps 100:1) 2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! (Jos 7:19; Is 42:12) 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. (Ps 18:44; Ps 65:5) 4 All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah (Ps 22:27) 5 Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man. (Ps 3:1; Ps 46:8; Ps 66:16) 6 He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him, (Ex 14:21; Jos 3:14; Ps 74:15) 7 who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah (Ps 11:4) 8 Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, 9 who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. (Ps 121:3) 10 For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. (Jb 23:10) 11 You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; (La 1:13; Ez 12:13) 12 you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance. (Is 43:2; Is 51:23) 13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you, (Ps 50:14) 14 that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble. (Ps 18:6) 15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah 16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. (Ps 34:11; Ps 66:5) 17 I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on[1] my tongue.[2] 18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. (Jb 27:9; Jb 36:21; Pr 28:9; Is 59:2; Jn 9:31; Jc 4:3) 19 But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. (Ps 116:1; Ps 116:2) 20 Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
