1 Haleluja! Chvalte, služebníci Hospodinovi, chvalte jméno Hospodin! 2 Ať je velebeno jméno Hospodin jak nyní, tak i navěky! 3 Od východu slunce až tam, kde zachází, buď sláva jménu Hospodin! 4 Hospodin je vznešený nad všemi národy, jeho sláva klene se nad nebesy. 5 Kdo je jako náš Bůh, Hospodin, jenž trůní ve výši, 6 jenž sklání se a na vše pohlíží, na vše na nebi i na zemi? 7 Chudáka umí z prachu pozvednout, ubožáka bere ze smetiště, 8 mezi knížaty jim dává usednout, mezi knížaty v lidu svém.[1] 9 Neplodnou obdařuje rodinou, matka se z dětí raduje! Haleluja!

1 Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord! (Ž 34,22; Ž 69,36; Ž 102,28; Ž 104,35; Ž 135,1) 2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! (Jb 1,21; Ž 115,18) 3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised! (Ž 18,3; Ž 48,10; Ž 50,1; Iz 59,19; Mal 1,11) 4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens! (Ž 8,1; Ž 57,5; Ž 57,11; Ž 99,2; Ž 148,13) 5 Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, (Ž 35,10) 6 who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? (Ž 11,4; Ž 138,6) 7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, (Ž 107,41; Ž 136,23) 8 to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. (Jb 36,7) 9 He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord! (Ex 1,21; 1S 2,5; Ž 68,6; Ž 113,1; Iz 54,1)
