The name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other, Peninnah. And Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.1Sa 2:26Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the LORD and also with man.Ac 5:2and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet.1Sa 3:19And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.1Sa 2:21Indeed the LORD visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew in the presence of the LORD.1Sa 25:1Now Samuel died. And all Israel assembled and mourned for him, and they buried him in his house at Ramah. Then David rose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.1Sa 13:15And Samuel arose and went up from Gilgal. The rest of the people went up after Saul to meet the army; they went up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people who were present with him, about six hundred men.Jud 14:20And Samson’s wife was given to his companion, who had been his best man.1Sa 15:27As Samuel turned to go away, Saul seized the skirt of his robe, and it tore.1Sa 18:21Saul thought, “Let me give her to him, that she may be a snare for him and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David a second time, “You shall now be my son-in-law.”1Sa 14:50And the name of Saul’s wife was Ahinoam the daughter of Ahimaaz. And the name of the commander of his army was Abner the son of Ner, Saul’s uncle.2Sa 2:2So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel.1Sa 3:16But Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son.” And he said, “Here I am.”Jud 13:11And Manoah arose and went after his wife and came to the man and said to him, “Are you the man who spoke to this woman?” And he said, “I am.”1Sa 9:22Then Samuel took Saul and his young man and brought them into the hall and gave them a place at the head of those who had been invited, who were about thirty persons.1Sa 15:12And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning. And it was told Samuel, “Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set up a monument for himself and turned and passed on and went down to Gilgal.”1Sa 18:17Then Saul said to David, “Here is my elder daughter Merab. I will give her to you for a wife. Only be valiant for me and fight the LORD’s battles.” For Saul thought, “Let not my hand be against him, but let the hand of the Philistines be against him.”1Sa 15:33And Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag to pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.1Sa 25:42And Abigail hurried and rose and mounted a donkey, and her five young women attended her. She followed the messengers of David and became his wife.1Sa 15:34Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul.1Sa 28:8So Saul disguised himself and put on other garments and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Divine for me by a spirit and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you.”1Sa 1:1There was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim of the hill country of Ephraim whose name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, son of Elihu, son of Tohu, son of Zuph, an Ephrathite.1Sa 16:4Samuel did what the LORD commanded and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling and said, “Do you come peaceably?”1Sa 15:10The word of the LORD came to Samuel:1Sa 28:12When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul.”1Sa 1:20And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the LORD.”1Sa 10:9When he turned his back to leave Samuel, God gave him another heart. And all these signs came to pass that day.Le 21:13And he shall take a wife in her virginity.1Sa 15:31So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul bowed before the LORD.1Sa 28:14He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped in a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and paid homage.1Sa 16:11Then Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your sons here?” And he said, “There remains yet the youngest, but behold, he is keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and get him, for we will not sit down till he comes here.”1Sa 12:6And Samuel said to the people, “The LORD is witness, who appointed Moses and Aaron and brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.1Sa 9:14So they went up to the city. As they were entering the city, they saw Samuel coming out toward them on his way up to the high place.1Sa 2:18Samuel was ministering before the LORD, a boy clothed with a linen ephod.1Sa 9:10And Saul said to his servant, “Well said; come, let us go.” So they went to the city where the man of God was.1Sa 3:18So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the LORD. And they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.2Sa 3:7Now Saul had a concubine whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah. And he said, “I will go in to my wife in the chamber.” But her father would not allow him to go in.1Sa 18:22And Saul commanded his servants, “Speak to David in private and say, ‘Behold, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now then become the king’s son-in-law.’”1Sa 16:2And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” And the LORD said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’1Sa 12:20And Samuel said to the people, “Do not be afraid; you have done all this evil. Yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart.1Sa 25:3Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. The woman was discerning and beautiful, but the man was harsh and badly behaved; he was a Calebite.1Sa 3:7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, and the word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.
