16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. (1Ti 5:8; 2Ti 3:8; 1Jo 2:4)

16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

16 They claim to know God. But their actions show they don’t know him. They are hated by God. They refuse to obey him. They aren’t fit to do anything good.
