Proverbs 5:22

English Standard Version

22 The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin. (Ps 7:15; Pr 6:2) 

New International Version

22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. 

New International Reader’s Version

22 Sinners are trapped by their own evil acts. They are held tight by the ropes of their sins. 

King James Version

22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
