Proverbs 25:27

English Standard Version

27 It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory.[1] (Pr 25:16; Pr 27:2)

New International Version

27 It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honourable to search out matters that are too deep.

New International Reader’s Version

27 It isn’t good for you to eat too much honey. And you shouldn’t try to search out matters too deep for you.

King James Version

27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
