33 And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. (Mr 8:23) 

New International Version

33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spat and touched the man’s tongue. 

New International Reader’s Version

33 Jesus took the man to one side, away from the crowd. He put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spat and touched the man’s tongue.
