Luke 4:2

English Standard Version

2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. (De 9:9; De 9:18; 1Ki 19:8; Joh 4:6; Heb 2:18; Heb 4:15) 

New International Version

2 where for forty days he was tempted[1] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 There the devil tempted him for 40 days. Jesus ate nothing during that time. At the end of the 40 days, he was hungry. 

King James Version

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
