6 For I desire steadfast love[1] and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. (1Sa 15:22; Ho 2:20; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7)

6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
