17 The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad, with a rim around it half a cubit broad, and its base one cubit all around. The steps of the altar shall face east.” (Ex 20:26) 

New International Version

17 The upper ledge also is square, fourteen cubits[1] long and fourteen cubits wide. All round the altar is a gutter of one cubit with a kerb of half a cubit.[2] The steps of the altar face east.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

17 The upper ledge is also square. It is 8.4 metres long and 8.4 metres wide. The drain goes all the way around the altar. The rim of the drain is 30 centimetres wide. The steps leading up to the top of the altar face east.’ 

King James Version

17 And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.
