Ezekiel 37:23

English Standard Version

23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But I will save them from all the backslidings[1] in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. (Ex 29:45; Le 26:12; Eze 14:11; Eze 34:24; Eze 34:30; Eze 36:25; Eze 36:29; 2Co 6:16; Re 21:3)

New International Version

23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offences, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding,[1] and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

New International Reader’s Version

23 They will no longer make themselves “unclean” by worshipping any of their evil gods. They will not do wrong things anymore. They always turn away from me. But I will save them from that sin. I will make them pure and “clean”. They will be my people. And I will be their God.

King James Version

23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
