8 You shall tell your son on that day, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ (Ex 12:26) 

New International Version

8 On that day tell your son, “I do this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.” 

New International Reader’s Version

8 On that day talk to your child. Say, “I’m doing this because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.” 

King James Version

8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
