Acts 19:4

English Standard Version

4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” (Joh 1:7; Ac 19:3) 

New International Version

4 Paul said, ‘John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

4 Paul said, ‘John baptised people, calling them to turn away from their sins. He told them to believe in the one who was coming after him. Jesus is that one.’ 

King James Version

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
