43 These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the people of Israel: Bela the son of Beor, the name of his city being Dinhabah. (Ge 36:31) 

New International Version

43 These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned: Bela son of Beor, whose city was named Dinhabah. 

New International Reader’s Version

43 Before Israel had a king, there were kings who ruled in Edom. Bela was the son of Beor. Bela’s city was called Dinhabah. 

King James Version

43 Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
