1ای خداوند قادر متعال، چه دلپذير است خانهٔ تو!2دلم هوای صحنهای تو را كرده است! تمام وجودم مشتاق ملاقات توست، ای خدای زنده!3ای خداوند قادر متعال كه پادشاه من هستی! در كنار قربانگاههای خانهٔ تو، حتی گنجشکها نيز برای خود خانه يافتهاند و پرستوها آشيانه ساختهاند تا بچههای خود را در آن بگذارند.4خوشا به حال آنانی كه در خانهٔ تو ساكنند و پيوسته تو را حمد میگويند!5خوشا به حال كسانی كه از تو قوت میيابند و از صميم قلب تو را پيروی میكنند.6وقتی آنان از بيابان خشک عبور كنند در آنجا چشمهها بوجود خواهند آورد و باران رحمت و بركات بر آن زمين خواهد باريد.7آنان از قدرت به قدرت منتقل خواهند شد و سرانجام بر كوه صهيون در حضور تو، ای خدا خواهند ايستاد.8ای خداوند قادر متعال، دعای مرا اجابت فرما! ای خدای يعقوب، تقاضای مرا بشنو!9ای خدايی كه سپر ما هستی، بر پادشاه برگزيدهٔ خود نظر لطف بيفكن.10يک روز در صحنهای خانهٔ تو بودن بهتر است از هزار سال در هر جای ديگر در اين دنيا! نوكری در خانهٔ تو را بيشتر میپسندم تا اربابی در قصرهای شروران.11زيرا تو ای خداوند، نور ما هستی! تو حافظ و نگهدارندهٔ ما هستی! تو به ما فيض و جلال خواهی داد و هيچ چيز نيكو را منع نخواهی كرد از آنانی كه به راستی عمل میكنند.12ای خداوند قادر متعال، خوشا به حال كسی كه بر تو توكل دارد!

My Soul Longs for the Courts of the Lord
1To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith.* A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!2My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.3Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.4Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise!5Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.*6As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.7They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.8O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob!9Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed!10For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.11For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.12O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!
