1ای خدا، از من محافظت فرما، زيرا كه به تو پناه آوردهام.2به خداوند گفتم: «تو خداوند من هستی و جز تو هيچ چيز مرا خوشبخت نمیكند.»3بزرگان واقعی دنيا كسانی هستند كه به تو ايمان دارند، و ايشان مايهٔ شادی من میباشند.4آنان كه به دنبال خدايان ديگر میروند دچار دردهای زيادی خواهند شد. من برای اين خدايان قربانی نخواهم كرد و حتی نام آنها را بر زبان نخواهم آورد.5ای خداوند، تو همه چيز من هستی! تو مال و ثروت من هستی! زندگی من در دستهای تو است.6آنچه به من بخشيدهای، عالی است و من از آن لذت میبرم.7خداوند را شكر میكنم كه مرا راهنمايی میكند و حتی شب هنگام نيز مرا تعليم میدهد.8خداوند هميشه با من است! او در كنار من است و هيچ چيز نمیتواند مرا بلرزاند.9پس من در امان خواهم ماند و قلب و وجودم از شادی لبريز خواهد شد؛10زيرا تو مرا در چنگال مرگ رها نخواهی كرد و كسی را كه دوستش داری نخواهی گذاشت از بين برود.11تو راه حيات را به من نشان خواهی داد. حضور تو مرا از شادی لبريز میكند و بودن در كنار تو به من لذتی جاودانی میبخشد.

You Will Not Abandon My Soul
1A Miktam* of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.2I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”3As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.*4The sorrows of those who run after* another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.5The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.6The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.7I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.*8I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.9Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being* rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.10For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.*11You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
