Psalm 26 | O Livro

Salmo de David.

1 SENHOR, faz-me justiça, pois tenho andado com integridade. Sempre tenho confiado em ti, por isso, não hesitarei nem recuarei.

2 Examina-me, SENHOR, e confirma que é assim mesmo; observa bem o meu íntimo, os meus sentimentos.

3 Porque penso muito na tua bondade; a tua verdade é a lei da minha vida.

4 Não convivo com gente falsa nem hipócrita.

5 Detesto ajuntamentos de malfeitores; não me chego aos que te desprezam.

6 Lavo as mãos em sinal da minha inocência e para poder prestar-te culto diante do teu altar.

7 Para poder cantar-te publicamente louvores, contando, assim, as tuas maravilhas.

8 SENHOR, eu amo a tua morada e o lugar em que está a tua gloriosa habitação.

9 Não deixes nunca que eu fique em igualdade de circunstâncias com os pecadores. Não deixes que a minha vida fique associada à conduta de homens sanguinários,

10 Nas suas mãos só há assassínios; nada fazem sem subornos.

11 Quanto a mim, procuro andar em integridade; livra-me e tem compaixão de mim.

12 Os meus pés andam num caminho plano. Louvarei o SENHOR publicamente.

I Will Bless the Lord

1 Of David. Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.

2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.*

3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.

4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites.

5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.

6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O Lord,

7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds.

8 O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.

9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes.

11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.

12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the Lord.
