Wer bei Gott sein darf

1 Ein Psalmlied von David. Jahwe, wer darf Gast in deinem Zelt sein? / Wer darf wohnen auf deinem heiligen Berg? 2 Wer vorbildlich lebt und tut, was richtig ist vor dir; / wer durch und durch wahrhaftig ist 3 und andere nicht schlechtmacht; / wer seinem Freund nichts Böses antut / und seinen Nachbarn nicht kränkt. 4 Wer den Verworfenen nicht achtet, / aber die Gottesfürchtigen ehrt; / wer sein Versprechen nicht ändert, / auch wenn es ihm Nachteile bringt; 5 wer keine Wucherzinsen nimmt / und sich nicht bestechen lässt, um Schuldlosen zu schaden: / der steht immer auf sicherem Grund.

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?

1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? 2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; 3 who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; 4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5 who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
