1 Îmi voi ridica ochii spre munți: de unde‑mi va veni ajutorul?

2 Ajutorul meu vine de la DOMNUL, Care a făcut cerurile și pământul.

3 El nu va îngădui să ți se clatine piciorul, Păzitorul tău nu va dormita.

4 Iată că nu dormitează, nici nu doarme, Păzitorul lui Israel.

5 DOMNUL este Păzitorul tău, DOMNUL este umbra ta pe mâna ta cea dreaptă.

6 Soarele nu te va bate în timpul zilei, nici luna – în timpul nopții.

7 DOMNUL te va păzi de tot ce este rău; El îți va păzi sufletul.

8 DOMNUL te va păzi la plecare și la venire, de acum și până în veac!

My Help Comes from the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?

2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
