Psalm 130 | New International Version

A song of ascents.

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;

2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.

8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

En bön mitt I förtvivlan

1 Från djupet av mitt hjärta ropar jag förtvivlad till dig om hjälp: "Hör mig! Svara mig och hjälp mig!"

3 Om du utan barmhärtighet kommer ihåg våra synder, vem kan då bestå?

4 Men du förlåter oss för att vi ska ära och lyda dig.

5 Jag sätter mitt hopp till Herren, och av hela hjärtat väntar jag på att han ska tala till mig.

6 Jag längtar efter Herren mer än vaktposten längtar efter att det äntligen ska bli morgon.

7 Israel, hoppas på Herren! Bara han är kärleksfull och god och beredd att förlåta synder.

8 Han ska själv befria Israel från all dess synd.
