He has kept our feet from slipping.10God, you have tested us. You put us through fire to make us like silver.11You put us in prison. You placed heavy loads on our backs.12You let our enemies ride their chariots over our heads. We went through fire and water. But you brought us to a place where we have everything we need.13I will come to your temple with burnt offerings. I will keep my promises to you.14I made them with my lips. My mouth spoke them when I was in trouble.15I will sacrifice fat animals to you as burnt offerings. I will offer rams, bulls and goats to you.16Come and hear, all you who have respect for God. 1Ein Lied. Jubelt Gott zu, alle Völker der Erde!2Singt zur Ehre seines Namens, rühmt ihn mit eurem Lobgesang!3Sagt zu Gott: »Wie überwältigend sind deine Taten! Deine Feinde müssen sich vor dir beugen, weil du so mächtig bist.4Alle Welt soll dich anbeten, alle sollen dir singen, dich mit ihren Liedern preisen!«5Kommt her und seht, was Gott getan hat! Sein Tun erfüllt die Menschen mit Furcht und Staunen:6Er machte das Meer zu trockenem Land, sodass wir zu Fuß hindurchgehen konnten. Darüber waren wir voll Freude!7Für immer regiert er mit gewaltiger Macht, er behält die Völker genau im Auge. Wer wagt es, ihm die Stirn zu bieten?8Ihr Völker, werft euch nieder vor unserem Gott, preist ihn mit lauter Stimme!9Er erhält uns am Leben und bewahrt uns vor dem Untergang.10Gott, du hast uns auf die Probe gestellt. So wie man Silber ausschmelzt, hast du uns gereinigt.11Du hast uns in die Falle laufen lassen, uns schwere Lasten aufgebürdet.12Unseren Feinden hast du erlaubt, uns in den Staub zu treten. Durch Feuer und Wasser mussten wir gehen; doch du hast uns herausgeholt, sodass wir wieder frei atmen konnten.13Mit Brandopfern komme ich in dein Haus, um mein Gelübde einzulösen.14Ich bringe, was ich dir versprach, als ich in arger Bedrängnis war.15Die besten Opfertiere bringe ich dir dar, Widder und Ziegenböcke, auch Stiere bereite ich zu. Vom Altar soll ihr Rauch hinaufsteigen zu dir.16Ihr, die ihr Gott verehrt, kommt alle her! Ich muss euch erzählen, was er für mich getan hat!17Ich schrie zu ihm um Hilfe, schon gewiss, dass ich ihn preisen würde.18Hätte ich Böses im Sinn gehabt, so hätte der Herr mich nicht gehört.19Gehört aber hat er mich, das steht fest; Gott hat auf meinen Hilfeschrei geachtet.20Ich danke Gott! Er hat mein Gebet nicht abgewiesen und mir seine Güte nicht verweigert.
