Psalm 93 | Het Boek

1 De HERE is de grote Koning, Hij is bekleed met koninklijke waardigheid. Zijn gordel is kracht. De wereld kan niet wankelen als God haar beschermt.

2 Al van eeuwigheid af regeert U op uw troon, deze staat vast gefundeerd.

3 HERE, het water bruist, het laat zijn stem horen en zingt bruisend tot uw eer.

4 En boven het daverende geluid van al dat water, van al die zeeën, is de grootheid van de HERE zichtbaar.

5 Alles wat U zegt, is waar. Wij kunnen U vertrouwen. Alles aan U is heilig als een waardevol sieraad. Dat blijft zo tot in eeuwigheid, HERE.

1 The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.

2 Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.

3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring.

4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty!

5 Your decrees are very trustworthy; holiness befits your house, O Lord, forevermore.
