You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your might and come to save us!3Restore us,* O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!4O Lord God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers?5You have fed them with the bread of tears and given them tears to drink in full measure.6You make us an object of contention for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves.7Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved!8You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.9You cleared the ground for it; it took deep root and filled the land.10The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.11It sent out its branches to the sea and its shoots to the River.*12Why then have you broken down its walls, so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?13The boar from the forest ravages it, and all that move in the field feed on it.14Turn again, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven, and see; have regard for this vine,15the stock that your right hand planted, and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.16They have burned it with fire; they have cut it down; may they perish at the rebuke of your face!17But let your hand be on the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!18Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name!19Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! 1ای شبان اسرائيل، به صدای ما گوش ده! ای كه قبيلهٔ يوسف را مانند گلهٔ گوسفند رهبری میكنی، جلال و شكوه خود را بنمايان! ای خدايی كه بر فراز فرشتگان جلوس فرمودهای، قدرت خود را بر قبايل افرايم، بنيامين و منسی آشكار ساز! بيا و ما را نجات ده!3ای خدا، ما را به سوی خود بازآور و به ما توجه فرما تا نجات يابيم.4ای خداوند قادر متعال، تا به كی بر قوم خود خشمگين خواهی بود و دعاهای آنها را اجابت نخواهی كرد؟5تو به ما غصه دادهای تا به جای نان بخوريم و كاسهای پر از اشک تا به جای آب بنوشيم!6سرزمين ما را به ميدان جنگ قومها تبديل كردهای و ما را مورد تمسخر دشمنان ساختهای.7ای خداوند قادر متعال، ما را به سوی خود بازآور! بر ما نظر لطف بيفکن تا نجات يابيم.8ما را همچون يک درخت مو از مصر بيرون آوردی و در سرزمين كنعان نشاندی و تمام قومهای بتپرست را از آنجا بيرون راندی.9اطراف ما را از بيگانگان پاک كردی و ما ريشه دوانيده، سرزمين موعود را پر ساختيم.10سايهٔ ما تمام کوهها را پوشاند و شاخههای ما درختان سرو را فرا گرفت.11تمام سرزمين موعود را تا به دريای بزرگ و رود فرات در برگرفتيم.12اما اكنون ديوارهای ما را فرو ريختهای؛ هر رهگذری دستش را دراز میكند و خوشهای میكند! چرا، ای خدا، چرا؟13گرازهای جنگل، ما را پايمال میكنند و حيوانات وحشی، ما را میخورند.14ای خدای قادر متعال، روی خود را به سوی ما بازگردان و از آسمان بر اين درخت مو نظر كن و آن را نجات ده!15از اين نهالی كه با دست خود آن را نشاندهای، و از فرزندی كه بزرگش كردهای، محافظت فرما،16زيرا دشمنان آن را مانند هيزم میسوزانند. خدايا، بر دشمنان غضب فرما و آنها را نابود كن.17از قومی كه برای خود برگزيده و چنين قوی ساختهای، حمايت كن!18ما ديگر از تو روی گردان نخواهيم شد. ما را زنده نگاه دار تا نام تو را ستايش كنيم.19ای خداوند قادر متعال، ما را به سوی خود بازآور و به ما توجه فرما تا نجات يابيم.
