1Jag litar på Herren. Varför säger ni då till mig: "Fly upp till bergen, där du kan hitta en säker plats"?2De ogudaktiga har spänt sina bågar, de siktar från sina bakhåll och är beredda att avlossa pilar mot Guds folk. Oordning råder3och allt har brutit samman. Vad kan de rättfärdiga göra, utom att fly?4Men Herren är fortfarande i sitt heliga tempel och han regerar alltjämt från himlen. Han vakar noga över allt som händer här på jorden.5Han prövar både de rättfärdiga och de ogudaktiga. Han hatar dem som älskar våld.6Han ska låta eld och svavel regna ner över de ogudaktiga och hans glödande vind ska bränna upp dem.7Gud är god och älskar rättfärdighet. 1In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, Flee like a bird to your mountain,2for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;3if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?*4The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.5The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.6Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.7For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.
