1 За първия певец. Псалм на Давид. ГОСПОД да те послуша в ден на скръб! Името на Бога на Яков да те постави нависоко! 2 Да ти изпрати помощ от светилището и да те подкрепи от Сион! 3 Да си спомни всички твои хлебни приноси и да приеме всеизгарянето ти! (Села.) 4 Да ти даде според желанието на сърцето ти и да изпълни всички твои намерения! 5 В спасението Ти ще се зарадваме и в Името на своя Бог ще развеем знаме. ГОСПОД да изпълни всички твои молби! 6 Сега зная, че ГОСПОД избавя помазаника Си; ще го послуша от светите Си небеса със спасителната сила на десницата Си. 7 Едни споменават колесници, а други – коне; но ние ще споменем Името на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог. 8 Те са свалени и паднали, а ние стоим и сме прави. 9 Спаси, ГОСПОДИ! Нека ни послуша Царят в деня, когато Го призовемили: ГОСПОДИ, спаси царя! Послушай ни в деня, когато Те призовем!.

Trust in the Name of the Lord Our God

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! 3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! 4 May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! 5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! 6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. 9 O Lord, save the king! May he answer us when we call.
