Psalm 128

New International Version

from Biblica

A song of ascents.

1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. 2 You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours. 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots round your table. 4 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. 5 May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 May you live to see your children’s children – peace be on Israel.

from Crossway

Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! (Ps 112:1; Ps 119:1; Ps 120:1; Pr 8:32) 2 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. (Ps 109:11; Isa 3:10) 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. (Ge 49:22; Ps 52:8; Eze 19:10) 4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord. 5 The Lord bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life! (Ps 20:2; Ps 122:9; Ps 134:3; Ps 135:21) 6 May you see your children’s children! Peace be upon Israel! (Job 42:16; Ps 125:5; Pr 17:6)
