1To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.2When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.4I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:5Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.6For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.7But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.8For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them .9But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.10All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

God Will Judge with Equity
1To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds. (Ps 50:1; Ps 57:1; Ps 145:18)2“At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity. (Ps 17:2; Ps 102:13; Da 8:19; Hab 2:3)3When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. (1Sa 2:8; Isa 24:19)4I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn; (Ps 75:10; Zec 1:21)5do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’”6For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, (Ps 3:3)7but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. (1Sa 2:7; Ps 50:6; Da 2:21)8For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs. (Job 21:20; Ps 11:6; Ps 73:10; Pr 23:30)9But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.10All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. (1Sa 2:1; Ps 75:4; Ps 89:17; Ps 112:9; Jer 48:25)
