1These are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite, (2Sa 3:2; 2Sa 3:3)2the third, Absalom, whose mother was Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith;3the fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah;4six were born to him in Hebron, where he reigned for seven years and six months. And he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem. (2Ki 21:18; 2Ki 21:26)15The sons of Josiah: Johanan the firstborn, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum. (2Ki 23:30; 2Ki 23:34; 2Ki 24:17)16The descendants of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son; (2Ki 24:6; 2Ki 24:17; Jer 22:24; Mt 1:11)17and the sons of Jeconiah, the captive: Shealtiel his son, (2Ki 24:15; Ezr 3:2; Ezr 5:2; Hag 1:1; Hag 1:12; Hag 1:14; Hag 2:2; Hag 2:23; Mt 1:12; Lu 3:27)18Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah;19and the sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shimei; and the sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith was their sister; (Ezr 2:2; Hag 1:1; Hag 1:12; Hag 1:14; Zec 4:6)20and Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed, five.21The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, his son[1] Rephaiah, his son Arnan, his son Obadiah, his son Shecaniah.22The son[2] of Shecaniah: Shemaiah. And the sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six.
