1Mo 15,1 God’s Covenant with Abram After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.” 1Mo 15,4 And behold, the word of the LORD came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son* shall be your heir.” 1Mo 37,14 So he said to him, “Go now, see if it is well with your brothers and with the flock, and bring me word.” So he sent him from the Valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. 1Mo 38,25 As she was being brought out, she sent word to her father-in-law, “By the man to whom these belong, I am pregnant.” And she said, “Please identify whose these are, the signet and the cord and the staff.” 1Mo 44,18 Then Judah went up to him and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh himself. 2Mo 8,13 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses. Have I now any power of my own to speak anything? At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole congregation.” 4Mo 30,2 If a man vows a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. 4Mo 36,5 And Moses commanded the people of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, “The tribe of the people of Joseph is right. 5Mo 1,22 Then all of you came near me and said, ‘Let us send men before us, that they may explore the land for us and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up and the cities into which we shall come.’ 5Mo 1,25 And they took in their hands some of the fruit of the land and brought it down to us, and brought us word again and said, ‘It is a good land that the LORD our God is giving us.’ 5Mo 1,32 Yet in spite of this word you did not believe the LORD your God, 5Mo 4,2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you. 5Mo 5,5 while I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the LORD. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. He said: 5Mo 8,3 And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word* that comes from the mouth of the LORD. 5Mo 9,5 Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 5Mo 18,20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or* who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ 5Mo 18,21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?’— 5Mo 18,22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. 5Mo 21,5 Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come forward, for the LORD your God has chosen them to minister to him and to bless in the name of the LORD, and by their word every dispute and every assault shall be settled. 5Mo 30,14 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. 5Mo 32,47 For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.” 5Mo 33,9 who said of his father and mother, ‘I regard them not’; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings. 1Kön 13,2 And the man cried against the altar by the word of the LORD and said, “O altar, altar, thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name, and he shall sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who make offerings on you, and human bones shall be burned on you.’” 1Kön 13,5 The altar also was torn down, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. 1Kön 13,9 for so was it commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, ‘You shall neither eat bread nor drink water nor return by the way that you came.’”
