Die Aufteilung des Landes und der heilige Bezirk für den Herrn

1 Wenn ihr das Land durch das Los zum Erbe austeilt, so sollt ihr dem HERRN eine Weihegabe als heilige Abgabe des Landes erheben: 25 000 [Ruten] lang und 10 000 [Ruten] breit; das soll in seinem ganzen Umfang heilig sein.

2 Davon soll ein Quadrat von 500 [Ruten] für das Heiligtum verwendet werden, und dazu 50 Ellen freien Raum ringsum.

3 Und nach diesem Maß sollst du einen Landstrich abmessen, 25 000 [Ruten] lang und 10 000 [Ruten] breit; und darauf soll das Heiligtum und das Allerheiligste kommen.

4 Dieser heilige Bezirk des Landes soll den Priestern gehören, den Dienern des Heiligtums, die herzunahen, um dem HERRN zu dienen; er soll ihnen als Platz für ihre Häuser dienen und ein dem Heiligtum geheiligter Raum sein.

5 Und den Leviten, die im Haus dienen, soll ein Gebiet von 25 000 [Ruten] Länge und 10 000 [Ruten] Breite überlassen werden, 20 Parzellen zum Eigentum.

6 Ihr sollt auch der Stadt einen Grundbesitz geben, 5 000 [Ruten] breit und 25 000 [Ruten] lang, entsprechend der heiligen Weihegabe. Das soll dem ganzen Haus Israel gehören.

7 Dem Fürsten aber soll das Land zu beiden Seiten der heiligen Weihegabe und des Grundbesitzes der Stadt gehören, zur Seite der heiligen Weihegabe und zur Seite des Grundbesitzes der Stadt, westlich von der Westseite und östlich von der Ostseite, und die Länge soll einem der [Stammes]anteile entsprechen, von der westlichen bis zur östlichen Grenze.

8 Das soll sein eigener Grundbesitz in Israel sein, damit meine Fürsten künftig mein Volk nicht mehr bedrücken. Und das [übrige] Land soll man dem Haus Israel nach seinen Stämmen überlassen.

Anordnungen für den Opferdienst

9 So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Lasst es genug sein, ihr Fürsten Israels! Tut gewalttätigen Frevel und Unterdrückung hinweg, übt Recht und Gerechtigkeit! Hört auf, mein Volk aus seinem Besitz zu vertreiben!, spricht GOTT, der Herr.

10 Ihr sollt richtige Waage, richtiges Epha und richtiges Bat gebrauchen!

11 Das Epha und das Bat sollen ein und dasselbe Maß haben. Ein Bat soll den zehnten Teil eines Homers fassen, und ein Epha soll der zehnte Teil eines Homers sein; ihr Maß soll sich nach dem Homer richten.

12 Ein Schekel soll 20 Gera betragen; 20 Schekel, 25 Schekel und 15 Schekel soll euch die Mine gelten.

13 Dies ist die Abgabe, die ihr erheben sollt: Ein Sechstel Epha von einem Homer Weizen und ein Sechstel Epha von einem Homer Gerste sollt ihr geben.

14 Und die Gebühr vom Öl, vom Bat Öl: ein Zehntel Bat von jedem Kor, von 10 Bat, von einem Homer; denn 10 Bat machen ein Homer.

15 Dazu je ein Lamm von 200 Schafen von der wasserreichen Weide Israels zum Speisopfer, zum Brandopfer und zu den Friedensopfern, um damit Sühnung für sie zu erwirken, spricht GOTT, der Herr.

16 Das ganze Volk des Landes soll zu dieser Abgabe an den Fürsten Israels verpflichtet sein.

17 Dem Fürsten dagegen obliegen die Brandopfer, Speisopfer und Trankopfer für die Feste und die Neumonde und die Sabbate, an allen Festzeiten des Hauses Israel. Er soll das Sündopfer, das Speisopfer, das Brandopfer und die Friedensopfer darbringen, um für das Haus Israel Sühnung zu erwirken.

Opferordnungen für die Feste

18 So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Am ersten Tag des ersten Monats sollst du einen makellosen jungen Stier nehmen und das Heiligtum entsündigen.

19 Und der Priester soll von dem Blut des Sündopfers nehmen und es an die Türpfosten des Hauses tun und auf die vier Ecken des Absatzes am Altar und an die Torpfosten des inneren Vorhofs.

20 So sollst du es auch am Siebten des Monats machen, für den, der aus Versehen oder aus Unwissenheit gesündigt hat; und so sollt ihr für das Haus Sühnung erwirken.

21 Am vierzehnten Tag des ersten Monats sollt ihr das Passah halten, ein Fest von sieben Tagen; da soll man ungesäuertes Brot essen.

22 An jenem Tag soll der Fürst für sich und für das ganze Volk des Landes einen Stier als Sündopfer darbringen.

23 Und während der sieben Festtage soll er dem HERRN täglich sieben makellose Stiere und Widder als Brandopfer darbringen, sieben Tage lang; und als Sündopfer täglich einen Ziegenbock.

24 Er soll auch ein Speisopfer opfern: je ein Epha [Feinmehl] zu einem Stier und ein Epha zu einem Widder und je ein Hin Öl zu einem Epha.

25 Am fünfzehnten Tag des siebten Monats soll er an dem Fest* sieben Tage lang dasselbe darbringen, sowohl Sündopfer als auch Brandopfer, sowohl Speisopfer als auch Öl.

The Holy District

1 “When you allot the land as an inheritance, you shall set apart for the Lord a portion of the land as a holy district, 25,000 cubits* long and 20,000* cubits broad. It shall be holy throughout its whole extent.

2 Of this a square plot of 500 by 500 cubits shall be for the sanctuary, with fifty cubits for an open space around it.

3 And from this measured district you shall measure off a section 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 broad, in which shall be the sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.

4 It shall be the holy portion of the land. It shall be for the priests, who minister in the sanctuary and approach the Lord to minister to him, and it shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary.

5 Another section, 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits broad, shall be for the Levites who minister at the temple, as their possession for cities to live in.*

6 “Alongside the portion set apart as the holy district you shall assign for the property of the city an area 5,000 cubits broad and 25,000 cubits long. It shall belong to the whole house of Israel.

The Portion for the Prince

7 “And to the prince shall belong the land on both sides of the holy district and the property of the city, alongside the holy district and the property of the city, on the west and on the east, corresponding in length to one of the tribal portions, and extending from the western to the eastern boundary

8 of the land. It is to be his property in Israel. And my princes shall no more oppress my people, but they shall let the house of Israel have the land according to their tribes.

9 “Thus says the Lord God: Enough, O princes of Israel! Put away violence and oppression, and execute justice and righteousness. Cease your evictions of my people, declares the Lord God.

10 “You shall have just balances, a just ephah, and a just bath.*

11 The ephah and the bath shall be of the same measure, the bath containing one tenth of a homer,* and the ephah one tenth of a homer; the homer shall be the standard measure.

12 The shekel shall be twenty gerahs;* twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels shall be your mina.*

13 “This is the offering that you shall make: one sixth of an ephah from each homer of wheat, and one sixth of an ephah from each homer of barley,

14 and as the fixed portion of oil, measured in baths, one tenth of a bath from each cor* (the cor, like the homer, contains ten baths).*

15 And one sheep from every flock of two hundred, from the watering places of Israel for grain offering, burnt offering, and peace offerings, to make atonement for them, declares the Lord God.

16 All the people of the land shall be obliged to give this offering to the prince in Israel.

17 It shall be the prince’s duty to furnish the burnt offerings, grain offerings, and drink offerings, at the feasts, the new moons, and the Sabbaths, all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings, and peace offerings, to make atonement on behalf of the house of Israel.

18 “Thus says the Lord God: In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall take a bull from the herd without blemish, and purify the sanctuary.

19 The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple, the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and the posts of the gate of the inner court.

20 You shall do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who has sinned through error or ignorance; so you shall make atonement for the temple.

21 “In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall celebrate the Feast of the Passover, and for seven days unleavened bread shall be eaten.

22 On that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a young bull for a sin offering.

23 And on the seven days of the festival he shall provide as a burnt offering to the Lord seven young bulls and seven rams without blemish, on each of the seven days; and a male goat daily for a sin offering.

24 And he shall provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull, an ephah for each ram, and a hin* of oil to each ephah.

25 In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month and for the seven days of the feast, he shall make the same provision for sin offerings, burnt offerings, and grain offerings, and for the oil.
