1(دنبالهٔ مزمور خدايا، از من در برابر مردم بيرحم دفاع كن و مرا تبرئه نما؛ مرا از دست اشخاص حيلهگر و ظالم برهان.2خدايا، تو پناهگاه من هستی؛ چرا مرا طرد كردهای؟ چرا به سبب ستمگريهای دشمن، ماتمكنان به اين سو و آن سو بروم؟3نور و راستی خود را بفرست تا هدايتم كنند و مرا به كوه مقدس تو و به مكان سكونتت بازگردانند.4آنگاه به محراب تو خواهم رفت، ای خدايی كه شادی و خوشی من هستی، و در آنجا با نغمهٔ بربط و سرود تو را ستايش خواهم كرد.5ای جان من، چرا محزون و افسرده شدهای؟ بر خدا اميد داشته باش! او را دوباره ستايش كن، زيرا او خدا و نجات دهندهٔ توست!

1Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.2You are God my stronghold. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?3Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.4Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.5Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God.
